It's not the mod's fault. The Stalker ENB dll hasn't been updated in a long time and Boris is unlikely to any more. So it gets more and more likely to crash over time.

The good news is that you get ambient occlusion and better shadows with the shaders (not ENB, that is). If you want better color with the shaders, edit gamedata/shaders/r2/shadersettings.txt and change the lines that start with

#define SATURATION_FILTER
#define CONTRAST_FILTER

to read

//#define SATURATION_FILTER
//#define CONTRAST_FILTER

and color will be restored. You may like the default AA2 look though.

If you can't get AA2 to run, try AMK Autumn.

For all the deserved shit it gets, Misery's economy is batshit in a way that at least makes twisted sense by the logic of the madmen that crafted it. Everything's good except the items added by ITEMSOUP are displaying the string text. They're not finding the actual strings, and are instead displaying stuff like st_rouble_500, and the description is st_rouble_500_desc. Anyone know what's up?

change the visual and corpse visual for the "weak" sections to the same as the normal or strong sections

then put them in your gamedata folder.

Whats with the instant fighting that happens when you transition from Ded City to Army Warehouses in CoCk? It happens every playthrough and with Warfare I thought it would be different but nope, Freedom and Mercs occupied the same space on transition. Capture points still seemed to be a bit fucked in the newest Warfare as well, as freedom only controls one part of their base and in like an hour of play I haven't seen the factions make any moves like patrolling or sending squads to take a capture point.

Are you sure about that? Every NPC I've talked to who had a quest says "Could you get me x item?" before you accept it.

Only issue with my modpack so far is that Smurf's hud is being used for it's animations, but the AA2 hud is the actual hud you'll see. However I think the minimap has a piece of Smurf's hud on it still, the compass directions part. Another thing I meant to do but got too lazy was to change the North icon on the compass to be red instead of blue. I've never seen a compass with a blue north arrow.

Expect it to take 1 head shot to kill anyone with light armor, 2-3 for anything heavier tops, and possibly 4-5 for headshots on exo. Watch the difficulty though, on rookie the game becomes laughable, in Stalker is where I think it's fair. WARFIGHTER just alters the player and NPC body damage stuff, not the weapons. I have it mixed with some other shit though, so YMMV.

If you decide to use the accurate profile, don't copy over the weapons.ltx since that isn't required for AO. This weird thing has started to happen in my COM game. An emission will start, but it won't give the mission to seek shelter. I can walk around out of cover and the emission will pass no problem. Another question, I want to use Ceano's HUD from the repo.

There are 2 versions
Minimalistic one with only health, stamina, fire mode, ammo type but not counters.
Second one with minimap and red enemy dots, previous stuff and ammo counters.

How would I go about giving the minimalistic hud the minimap but also making the minimap not show red dots? I kind of still want to know where friendlies and dead bodies are. Though if it's too much effort I guess I can go full realism with no info.

It should, out of extreme situations like a mak with non-AP ammo versus an exofag or something. The damage values were tweaked over a period of days while playing STCoP, which has higher damage as a whole, but it should still be night and day versus "vanilla" AO.

After a quick test by clearing out the clear sky camp i would say its doing its just quite well.

Overall headshots are 1 shot kills on everything humanoid-esque because the headshots apparently also affect mutants like fleshes(dont even know if their faces are counted as heads)

It also makes the npc fire somewhat stronger but thats a good thing.
All in all its exactly what i was looking for.
This is only a quick test that i did, i might post more thoughts on it after a few days of playing.

Doesn't change mutant damage at all (I could do that as an optional profile if requested, but for me mutants just aren't threatening if they aren't at least a little bit spongy if you aren't landing headshots), just damage against human NPCs by modifying the locational damage modifiers in m_stalker.

It also doesn't modify the damage the player takes, which is actually pretty high by default on Master, but for additional challenge in that regard, consider swapping in the increased accuracy profile (just the m_stalker, not the weapons.ltx) which will tighten NPC fire dispersions.

Glad you're enjoying it though, if there's one thing I can't stand, it's bullet sponge bullshit. That just sucks all of my enjoyment out of the experience.

I played with it for a few hours and the relation sync broke so even though I was a merc who were at peace with Freedom, Freedom wasn't at peace with me specifically so Freedom would try to kill only me. Clear Sky are technically renegade, which is why they're at odds with the military. Ecolog sees the value in having multiple scientific teams.

Duty is technically sanctioned as long as they act like a militia cleanup crew. They help keep the zone relatively orderly and keep the mutant count down.

I would consider raising the NPC response times from 50ms to ~450ms so you don't get insta-killed going to peak a corner before your camera even clears the corner, raising the transparency threshold for controllers to like 0.7 so they can't just buttfuck you through bushes all day, adding melee weapons to the repair kit list so you can fix them, setting the minimum range for the camera to 0 if you plan on doing the photo quests.

There's a bunch more, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

He takes all of your gear (you can prep it by dropping a gun on the ground for yourself), and you HAVE to complete a dialog option with him in order to move the quest along. This dialog option turns him and the 3 mercs that are surrounding you hostile, and they will INSTANTLY kill you before the dialog screen even closes. There is no way around this.

What the fuck kind of shitty design is this? The guide just says "lol when he goes hostile u can kill him :-DDDD" but you get fucking 1-shot vaporized before you can even draw your weapon. Killing him before triggering that dialog breaks the quest and makes it impossible to complete.

I actually really liked the recipe system in AMK/OL, since you actually had to do a lot of work to get the high tier 4th gen customized artifacts. But when you did get them, you were literally god of the zone, it was like playing with cheats on and killed any incentive to keep going. Someone here came up with a suggestion I should try editing the game relations.ltx, specifically the free_neutral_attack_goodwill and neutral_kill_goodwill setting, replacing the negative numbers with high positive numbers.

The idea was edit, then go ingame, kill a few loners in the rookie village, then leave the map so the goodwill numbers applied & hopefully the loners should return to liking me rather than being hostile.

Ive tried doing this, but the game crashes when trying to load the game relations.ltx I edited. If i restore it with an unedited one, it loads fine. This leads me to believe the numbers I put in are exceeding the max for this setting. So I tried changing the original -1000 to 1000 but its still doing the same thing. Anyone have any idea why editing these things would cause the file to not load properly?

There is supposed to be an invincible bloodsucker in SGM 2.2 somewhere in pripyat but I never found it. Any other mods have unkillable mutants?

Anyway, I just want to get rid of the postprocessing effect when you get close to anomalies. Is there a way to disable it without messing around with the anomalies files?
Maybe editing effectors.ltx or postprocess.ltx?
