The 'three skills only' is only for multiplayer, it seems. According to the lead designer, you have access to more skills in singleplayer.

From what I saw in the pre-order trailer that showed multiplayer, you also have access to consumables on the D-pad (on controllers). Probably things like re-supply, medi-gel, and so on.

Instead of having the reaper use people goo as magic juice, why not have it use a network of human brains as it's processing unit? That way sovereign's line about them being each a nation would make sense and the colonists' fate is made more horrific by the implication that they may remain conscious inside the reaper

who says you have to get a companion of every class type? Often times squadmates don't really match up with one class type and they're their own "class" as it is.

ME2 didn't give you a legit adept until Lair of the Shadow Broker, yeah there's biotic squadmates but the defining skill of an adept is Singularity. Just like the defining skill of a vanguard is biotic charge so we haven't had a REAL vanguard squadmate until Cora.

Damn, I was so annoyed at this part, you spend most of the game fighting Cerberus that turned batshit crazy due to Reaper tech and then Legion proposes using Reaper tech to improve the Geth and if Shepard isn't ok with it he's an "organic supremacist" asshole. Yeah the Rannoch reaper is dead, but Legion gives no guarantee that Harbinger can't assume direct control of them whatever he wants.

On a meta level it is the culmination of the character rape on Legion and the geth.

well in both mass effect 2 and 3 we haven't had a real vanguard squadmate. We've had Jacob and Jack who have most the Vanguard stuff but not charge which makes them.. not vanguards, and that's basically it.

We went through most of ME2 without a real adept,

Most times you just look for individual squad skills that balance out what your own kit doesn't have. Like as a Vanguard, you take Miranda because of overload, and the warp to blow up what you pull, and either Mordin, Thane, Garrus, or Kasumi depending on whether or not having a second warp, or a second overload would be better based on what you're fighting, or if you're fighting a lot of armored vorcha, scions, etc, incinerate. None of those skills are really class defining skills they're just things you don't have that work well for the defenses you face.

I'm sure there are still some unreveiled species. Who knows what they might look like?
