I understand that there have to be payed perks in a f2p environment. Servers are not free. Development and continued optimization is not free. At the bottom line it is still a retail operation, and NO ONE is compensated without monetary inflow.
I have had this game installed on every capable mobile device I have owned since its release (first install: A damned Note 2). I have easily invested three figures (I have spent hundreds of dollars on this mobile game, an expenditure greater than that of any complete AAA console title I have ever purchased. Including DLC). But the idea of playing on an even vaugly competitive level is laughable. Because...
I play casually and don't spend constantly.
I launch the game three or four times a week. Check the lab, send points off to friends, play an Alliance battle, do dailies, hop into a timeline...what's the word...it certainly isn't battle. Clusterfuck?

A six star fully mastered thoughtfully equipped and synergistically built team can go through perhaps four fights. Then it's over. Every team you face wins by default, simply because you haven't spent enough to tier up and costume your roster. On bronze. The LOWEST POSSIBLE PVP TIER.
Battleworld? Twenty opponent refreshes. Being able to fight five of them is a miracle.
Real time Battleworld? Hah! Real time humiliation.
Once again, I understand the necessity of micro transactions in a f2p environment. But with a game with a strong social pvp component...after investing years and hundreds of dollars...to be unable to even truly participate, let alone compete, on even the MOST BASIC level?

Also, if you have a 6* Hulkbuster and Shang-Chi/Iron Fist, you can use them to help Moonie. Strikers are greatly helpful for characters with low DPS, even if it may not look like it. That's my usual team for combat AB, and I'm vip0 too.

I also beat it today(or rather, yesterday) with a T2 Shang-Chi. I was going to do it the usual way with my T2 MK, but I decided to try with him after the fight started, and I managed to clear it at least 2 minutes faster than with MK, you just have to be mindful of your positioning and react fast enough to avoid the roar of the last two beasts. The 5 sec invincible proc might've helped.

It didn't, recently they retired the majority of boost potions sold and the system will be replaced by a single potion down the line.
Issue is that a lot of the underlying systems aren't well explained or implemented so some potions were behaving differently than how people expected.

The overall pace of the game is slower now, but not really by much. It is however much better for new players but I wouldn't say it's fantastic because there's still a lot of poorly implemented tutorials.

The potions and boosts are optional and just accelerate the process, and even f2p players received a good chunk of those for free. They're hardly needed between all the events so they were basically a waste of money.

An invulnerability obelisk is completely wasted on Black Bolt since he's invulnerable like 90% of the time, and the last 10% can be compensated with . Likewise, ignore dodge is wasted on him because he gets a big ignore dodge boost ontop of his invulnerability. You want ITGB + damage proc with something like crit rate/defense penetration/max hp/anything that isn't ignore dodge or an element resists.

That's assuming he's T2 though.

Personally I dislike the uniform. It turns a character that shits out explosive diarrhea damage to a tanks that's not nearly as effective at tanking as other characters like Hydra Cap and Sharon for instance.

Ghost Rider would be a better choice if you have his GMan uni as Rulk can multi-task with his uniform and deals great damage and has great defense, Ghost Rider is a glass canon, and Hellstorm is great for larger confrontations like later story missions and bosses.

Also Ghost Rider is way more "monstrous" than Hellstorm.

It'll either be 14-15 or 21-22. Hard to say for sure. Normally I'd say 21-22 since we haven't gotten interim report 1 yet, but last month we didn't get interim reports and they just did a 6 day countdown. They could do something similar this time around too if it's not a very big update. I imagine this'll be a smaller update with all the resources going to 3.0 being the big content dump.

what perfect timing I just finished writing up some shit about Ock/SpOck for plebbit:

I'm feeling inclined to say vanilla Ock is indeed superior to Superior Spider-Man, in Shadowland at least.

I took my T2 Ock/SpOck out for a test run when Shadowland reset and here's what I managed to do:

He handled this with ease. His skills bunched up the mobs crazy well. Once you get a good rotation with his 5th skill, which is a massive iframe (which should be maxed like OP suggests), and with his 2nd skill stun, you'll be more than safe.

As you can see, SpOck managed it with ~30 seconds remaining. It took me a couple of retries so I decided to end it there because I felt like I wouldn't be able to take SpOck any further. It was pretty tricky due to Falcon's iframes and it was harder than I thought to get them webbed up together, but once you get them all webbed, it's just a matter of getting a good rotation going while keeping them cc'd. Bad thing is with this approach is that the uniform dodge/dmg proc won't activate.

I also tried SpOck on the floor 12 Spider rumble due to his native web resist but there was just way too much going on for him to handle. I couldn't try default Ock due to lack of web resist.

Custom gear is old school 32% Dodge Booster. ISO-8 set is Overdrive with all 6* stones, none awakened.

I usually use WHO lead / T2 SR / A13. Having irrelevant Sharon for the team bonus means relevant Sharon will always use her 3* skill whenever you smash dat mf team skill button. You gotta time the 3* skill right so you never get debuffed by HIM because if you do then your native GBI from your T2 Super Armour gets stripped and HE will proceed to kick your shit in. HE can't debuff you while immunity is up.
I usually go with 3* -> 6* -> 5* -> 1* while still in immunity -> 2* for early iframe then cancel before the animation completes -> repeat. The 5* skill is an iframe which can cancel HIS meteors when timed right, but if not then switch into someone else and run around because SR's movement speed is ass.

As for Carnage, you gotta play safely since HE can debuff your invincibility so look out for patterns and use your 6* and 3* skill at the right times. Carnage uses invincibility instead of immunity so that's why it can get stripped by HIM.

As much as I'd love for her to be an alt I keep forgetting that Flash and Eddie are two different characters. Agent Venom is gonna be his own character. I just hope that one he drops Venom can get some love in the form of either Anti-Venom or Ultimate Venom as uniforms. And I hope to god those uniforms change some of the way his skills work by either giving him a Guard Break, I-Frames or better comboability.
