he looks like a fair, ~47% winrate hero. i think you might be able to go faster than mount speed just passively wallriding with speed aoe. in reality he might be a bit underpowered. consider rexxar's boars, or thrall's earthquake. an AOE slow doesn't really have much of an impact on the game, so I doubt an AOE speed boost will either.

Once you know how to counter him he's useless. If you don't deal with him right he'll win the game on his own with nothing but lane pressure. The last QM I won with him 100-0'd the core with minion waves. Top and bottom lane were always on core. A competent team, or even one competent player, would have had no problem dealing with it.

It's because after the 5 Warcraft assassins in a row, people want something from Blizz's other franchises, mostly Starcraft and Diablo, which have taken a huge backseat to Warcraft for a long time now. It's not so much that people are angry over it being Lucio, it's more that people are angry that we once again got shafted out of a traditional Blizz character that wasn't Warcraft. Diablo just had it's 20th anniversary not long ago, and how many actual Diablo characters do we have? We have Diablo, Tyrael, Auriel, Azmodan, and Butcher as actual characters from the series. The rest are just the nephalem from 3 and Xul from 2, which are hardly even established Diablo characters since they're just the individual players. The same goes for Starcraft. It's been around forever, yet we're stuck with filler characters for the franchise like Hammer and Morales, when I could list 20 characters off the top of my head that are more deserving to be in HotS(Warfield, Stetman, Fenix, etc).

Judgement isn't a terrible ult, but it's completely outclassed by Sanctification. It needs it's range nerf reverted, and maybe either a cooldown reduction or some new effect to enhance it's initiation potential. Way of the Blade is numerically superior at level 1 and scales better aaaaaaall the way to 20. Never pick something else.

Get into a fight with E, treat W as an auto attack reset, hit Q to bodyblock and delete squishies.
Bladestorm is good to finish off enemies running away or to counter CC, but don't use it all nilly willy because it exposes the real you.

Play him safe, you have no sustain. He's very good for taking enemy camps under their noses because you can always get away for free with stealth + teleport if they happen to find you. I don't mean stealing here, I mean doing camps on their side of the map.
