I personally don't think it is. Imagine the game you played before, but remove like 50% of your damage and defense. That's what it is now except with no purpose to grind. Want to get infinity points to get as much as you did before with omega? :^) No problem famblam, exp is now nerfed once again since people were leveling it too fast.

Looking through the list, it is missing some of the artifacts. As far as your complaint, you'll have to elaborate, since it's itemization that fits into the current Attribute system. Heroes who use those stats gain 1,000 DR or more with 100% rolls on nearly all the new artifacts.

Oh, that part. It'd definitely be offensive to only upgrade existing ones, and they can't simply provide an upgrade for some, so they should have upgraded all Lv60s, which it seems like they're going to try and do. That being said, I'm trying to stay optimistic and just ignore the Cosmic affixes right now, because while they're clear upgrades when given the right affix with the right hero, you don't need them for Cosmic and I doubt we'll be getting Omega Difficulty anytime soon. I still advocate for the player-directed upgrade route where we just have to pick up a Cosmic currency like the Cosmic Fragment, but I'm just trying to stay positive.

With that Dodge, would it best on X-23, or someone who doesn't have any Deflect Rating to fill a gap in their defense? Pretty good rolls, 600 DR and 595 CHR. The journey doesn't exist in MH for multiple reasons.

They're not as flashy as getting a unique in PoE or even legendary in D3. In fact, they're nowhere near it. PoE uniques mostly change something up pretty big that is more or less unique to said item. D3 pumps up a specific type of build typically. MH? Oh. Have uhh.. +3 attributes :^)

In fact every item follows the same formula. Now, I'm not saying that PoE and D3 don't do the same, because they definitely do. I'm saying they do something to go against what the current meta of the game is. I also get that MH has a harder time to do so with 60 heroes, but that doesn't mean they can't do items like that. I have zero faith in Gaz's creativity based off their initial ideas posted for Omega items.

The game stops having that journey once you realize everything you do is nothing but a small number crunch up.. even though that's the genre and something I enjoy. I'm not saying MH is bad, well it is now, but before it's the casualness that makes it fun. You got that shiny new item, yay! You got it for the 5th time who gives a shit.

Starter's guide: Pick someone you like, when you complete the tutorial you get 400 splinters (currency used to buy heroes) and after a week of logins you get another 200. Either use them to buy a specific hero you want or go for Random Hero unlocks if you don't really care.
Donate gear you don't want to the Crafter and Enchanter NPCs.

How do damage layers work, can I have multiple different bleeds coming from a character?
I remember playing a game where only one DoT would count per character, not sure if it was MH or something else.

In MH, generally you can apply multiple stacks of bleed and DoTs as long as they're separate skills. Certain heroes, like Wolverine and X-23, have spenders that do more damage the more layers of bleed you have stacked on the enemy, so it wouldn't make much sense if you could only stack one bleed. The game used to be heavily all about stacking different DoT layers, and certain heroes still do, but it's less of that these days, I think.

Jean's actually pretty good, but Rogue has a lot more variety since she can basically cover every area of the game with an infinite number of builds. They've even made it easier by making it so her powers stolen feed into a bank and you can just pull out of that unlike previously, where you had to manually reacquire her powers every time you lost one.

If you're ever looking to drop some cash, definitely look at buying Stash space. Everyone believes that non-paying accounts are more likely to get G Discount coupons on your Lucky Draw that you get every day. I got a 90% on my dummy account and nothing on my main, paying account, for example. So you have that going for you, at least.

You can play nearly every hero to Lv10 to get an idea whether they use spirit or some other secondary resource, whether they run or fly for their Mobility power, and just in general get a look at their powers. My suggestion would be to think about picking a hero who doesn't use spirit, like Angela, Hulk, Deadpool, or any of the others. You get 400 ES when you get to the Training Room as part of the new player experience, and then another 200 ES when you reach 7 days of logging in. You can either use the 600 ES all at once, use 400 ES and then 200 ES, or use all of it on Random Hero Boxes.

Also, ES stands for Eternity Splinters, which is a currency that drops every 6~10 minutes that's used for purchasing heroes and Team-Ups (sidekicks, mercenaries from D2) for free.

I think it might be a bit confusing, but the game's pretty good, especially as a newer player. The veterans are the biggest ones getting screwed, but if you're going in with no understanding and no preconceptions about it, it's pretty good. Just ask questions on whatever you're not sure about, since the game has a lot of undocumented or not well documented mechanics.

People like pic related enjoyed the superficial mindless grinding and ADHD spam dash gameplay with zero challenge, while the game is certainly no dark souls esque challenge/reward masterpiece there is at least now some vague idea of needing to play carefully and/or build defensively in order to do well in high end content.

There's no specific, hard timegating. Besides the typical grindgating, but the Eternity Splinter farming is the closest to a timegate. You need ES to buy new heroes and Team-Ups, and they drop roughly every 6~10 minutes in drops of 1 to 10. Been getting a lot of 5 or 6 drops lately, but it's all random. That's the closest the game gets to timegating, though.

What are you talking about? The BUE made everyone balanced. Everyone's got multiple viable builds. There's just so much customization and strategy. She got an update with the most recent patch that removed her spirit and put in place something like Heven's Rage, I think? Certain powers fill the meter, and after it maxes out, it lets you use your skills without cooldowns at the cost of that Rage. Like all melee players now, you have to get used to running around since you can't use mobility options much, but she does have a leaping ability to also get around that's pretty nice. She's doing quite well overall, defensively and offensively.
