Zeth being the "freshfresh" server will eventually be the one who gets refugees from Elysium. Ely pop is dropping fast daily while Zethbulls are more or less the same. I think you forget how much white damage and pet damage hunters do passively pre-60.

As a warlock at level 60, is there any reason to use a Firestone or a Spellstone that has been buffed with talents? +27 Fire Damage and +130 Fire damage to melee or absorbing 1170 spell damage and having a +1% crit chance seems pretty weak to, say, High Warlord's Tome of Destruction's +17 Stamina, +16 Intellect, and +20 Spell Power.

In all of the US right now there are less than 70k players concurrently online in WoW. Most servers only have a few hundred people playing on them at most. Blizzard did a very good job of brainwashing people into thinking the game had a lot more players than it actually did by abusing the fact that China had a different sub model and have a metric fuckton of gold farmers so all they had to do was add the chink numbers in their sub numbers and it inflated it by 4-5 million during wrath.

Based on census addons (which is the best info we can get, tho not totally accurate) Legion enjoyed the usual large spike in players at xpac launch and then a big dropoff after 30 days. Which is typical of xpacs in general at least since panda, but the Legion sub jump was lower than WoD's as well as the decline being steeper.
Like I said, census addons are not entirely reliable, only count actual characters (not accounts) and many servers don't have enough data to indicate jackshit. They ARE good at identifying trends, however.
With the limited evidence we have, it would be safe'ish to say that US subs have dwindled to under 2million but my guess would be lower.

One thing to remember is that even tho nu-blizz has the "don't release sub numbers" newer policy, it's a good assumption that they would change that plan ASAP if they were suddenly back up to 10mil subs.
The standard common sense thing would be to assume that they are perfectly okay with big xpac purchases once every two years and time-gating the diehards who never leave anyhow in the meantime - the game makes a fuckload on that combined with pets/mounts/gametime even with the relatively lower sub count compared to previous xpacs.

Well personal taste and fanboy stuff is all subjective, but ignoring that stuff there was a news article (think it was a polish gaming site but i'd have to relook it up) that misquoted a dev as saying Legion was back up to 10mil plus subs.
That headline then got parroted around (and still is constantly on the bnet forum) even tho it was very swiftly retracted. It WAS true that Legion enjoyed a sub increase as well as 3million+ box sales but it was nowhere even close to 10million - even worldwide counting china.
But a lot of the memes stem from that and if anyone reads forums, which you shouldn't unless you hate yourself, you'll see it tossed around as fact pretty casually.

Nost shutdown doesn't have much to do with it really besides the fact that by having been seen with mishundare, shadowflame, and claw before the shutdown at least gives credit to the suggestion that they were regularly clearing it and it's highly unlikely that he would have those items without ever getting one piece of t2. And not being seen in t2? Well desu, t2 isn't that great before the 8 set so I could totally see him just stockpiling it. He had Bracers of Arcane Accuracy, no reason to wear t2 bracer, had Mana Igniting cord, no reason to wear the belt, he had mishundare and prob spellweaver turban before that, so no rreason to wear the helm, he had pvp shoulders, no reason to wear the shoulders, has ringo boots, no reaosn to wear the boots. etc etc.

So yeah, i think it's just as likely he aquired all those items without being seen as it is that he hacked or was given them by GM.

I try to avoid starting wars since i want to level asap, but if anyone fucks with me I will kill them a lot. I also keep my opium updated with people who have fucked with me and they will get ganked if i get the chance.
