The quest chains flow far, far easier as a result, but it also doesn't give you that feeling of far-reaching adventure when both factions are then stuffed into this small area.

Other DK here, jumping out of the water on certain mounts is really fucking impossible. I can do it on a archerus gryphon, but not on a dragon. The collision for water walking is actually based on a small region of your feet. So even if you do jump out, if your feet dont fully clear the water, youre not gonna get high enough to trigger water walking.
