yeah but many of those layers can be skipped entirely through trading. you can trade for a dumpster riven for your favorite weapon for super cheap, then simply re-roll until you get the stats you want.

however, yes, Rivens are BS. at least the game isn't balanced around them though, so they aren't really necessary unless you want to make your shit weapon acceptable. Luckily shit weapon rivens are cheap.

Most the archwing stuff is a gearcheck, make sure you have some of the basic mods for both weapon and defenses. The targets for fully disabling the ship are ridiculously and unfairly small, that I agree on. The Odonata's shield should theoretically be better than the Amesha's defense powers in this case since you will be moving the whole time.

Absorb got nerf to pointlessness and Chaos isn't as good as you would think and slows down defense missions, where it should be the most useful.

The augment for Absorb could have saved it, but DE went full retard, again, and made it slow her to a crawl while also lowering the range on it, making the Augment basically useless.

His grass, used to send out maggots to attack enemies and would explode giving you stacks. Now you have to manually target them. It also means they will run off and hold enemies for way too long in fuck knows where.

Nullifiers also drain your stacks now, which is less annoying than the other change but makes no sense either.
