You really just gotta get better at spotting him out with your camera. At EW2 you still should be trying hard to see him coming if you can because the terror radius is still really small. EW3 you can play normally but you need to be sure to not put yourself in a position where you can't at least get to a pallet if he's coming your way due to instant downs. If you're really having trouble I'd suggest using spine chill or premonition. Spine chill if you're decent at at least knowing the general area of the map he's in and premonition if not. Eventually you should be able to get by without either.

Oh yeah forgot to say something about that. Balanced landing has been doing that for awhile now where it will just give you a speed boost for no reason, once about every 4 games or so. And then it appears to be available for use after that but it's not always the case, I've had it use itself like this, went to use it and I just full stumbled and ate shit. Hard. I still like the perk because it gives me more options especially on The Asylum and Lampkin Lane, ones that killers aren't used to, or at least not used to losing survivors with.

Yup that's what's gonna kill the game, Balanced Landing.
Think about this for a second. If there is legit potential for something to be abused by SWF, especially if it's been out for several months, and they don't use it (because there's no way the meta players don't know about it) it's obviously not good. Having someone sit on a ledge for a whole chase just for the off chance that a 2 second sprint burst would be remotely useful (which the situation has to be right and THEN it has to be communicated to drop, and hope the drop procs it fast enough to still be valid since they said "drop)

The trinity plus adrenaline is still the best perk setup by FAR for them because it's easier to coordinate, gives a longer sprint, AND heals.

I mean sure bugs are bad, but this is literally the least harmful bug there is currently. But sure be dramatic about it.

People on the high rank actively use their camera and have SB, so even if Myers spookes them, they'll just sprintburst away. Stage 1 is essentially the ultimate stealth mode, with immunity to detection perks as a slap in the face. Once he actually finds someone, stage 2 switches on to the standard killer kit, but with still a reduced terror radius, which then leads to his bullshit supersonic instakill mode.

It's like hillbilly and wraith had an ugly fucking child.

I know, I've been doing that. It fixes a few things but really doesnt make a huge difference. This game's matchmaking is still fucked and we all known it, there's still an unacceptabale amount of infinite loading and they know there are issues. I get plenty of infinite loads as both killer and survivor, and while queuing as SWF while solo makes things better (but not by much), whenever I try to actually play with friends we tend to give up after about 15 minutes of trying and failing to properly join a game.

I just bought this game but the more I read the generals the more I am beginning to dislike this game.

I am starting to recognize that this game is deeply flawed and there are so many cheese tactics that detract from the feeling and atmosphere of the game. When playing killer I don't feel like a ruthless horror movie slasher, I feel like the ugly fat kid that everyone picked to be it during hide and seek, and as survivor I feel like there is so much meta bullshit that it's almost like the game wants you to adopt disgusting gameplay behaviors. Only 10 hours in and it simply doesn't feel like I'm playing a horror game anymore.

I really want to like this game. It's unique. The concept of this game alone is what made me purchase it, but I'm heavily disappointed in the potential that was wasted here.

It's worth noting that the beginning of the sprint can be turned a lot tighter than the rest of the sprint. And if you can get a little proficient at glancing at the charge bar for the saw you can mislead survivors to where you're going to go and do a quick turn.

It might not be a huge deal but I found binding the Q and E keys to aim left and right respectively and use those instead of the mouse during a sprint.

I feel like as killer, the goal isn't to see how many suckers you can kill, but rather providing a challenging experience. Punish mistakes, instead of actively hunting down a single guy. Keep survivors on edge by constantly patrolling instead of face camping. Tends to work out fairly well.

Maybe an axe killer that can throw his axe to one-down survivors, but he has to pick the axe back up after throwing it (pull it out of the survivor's body or wherever else it landed if you miss). Without the axe, he only has his fists, meaning no special ability and decreased lunge range.

shadowborn sucks

unrelenting or STBFL are good for wraith since his only tool is the cloak. however i wouldn't get used to them because they're both getting gutted

agitation is a personal favorite of mine but it's not wholly necessary

i think nurse's calling on him is extremely good as it lets you walk away from a hooked victim while cloaked and then come back and find them with relative ease when they're unhooked and start to heal

i'd like to experiment with stridor but i haven't gotten it yet

so enduring, brutal strength, a nurse's calling/stridor, agitation

NOED is also okay on him because he's such a weak killer. i would like to try some of the hex perks on him too but i only have ruin and it's at rank 1. i imagine devour hope would be really interesting on him

oh and windstorm + swift hunt or whatever are excellent addons.

try to uncloak in a place where survivors can't see you uncloaking - especially against flashlight users - as they won't know precisely where you are and might blunder into you.

bait them into using their sprint bursts early and cancel your uncloak if they do so you can catch back up to them.

with quick uncloaking and speed boost you can probably afford to be less subtle about uncloaking (unless against flashlights) because you'll have a huge speed advantage

otherwise i have been trying to experiment with the addon that grants you 0 terror radius upon uncloaking but i don't know if it works. i read once about a guy who used insidious (back before they modified it to the way it is now) on wraith. it was "active" while he was cloaked and moving and when he would uncloak, as long as he was not moving, he'd be insidious and have 0 terror radius. sort of spook the survivors or confound them. but now insidious no longer works this way and you cannot do that and you must use the limited shitty addon instead which if i recall correctly was shit

also i like to use the light resistance addons against flashlight warriors because they'll usually be greedy and not expect you to be resistant. however i'm pretty sure even the "moderate light resistance" is not enough to stop a burn so use with caution and experiment

the wallhack addons are ok but have been nerfed a bit. could try using them and a coldwind token so you can see through corn and shit

how the fuck do I get good at nurse. The charge seems counter intuitive when you end up stunning yourslef at the end.

Enduring is extra nice on him because good survivors with flashlights will bully you first chance given. Other than that, there's the standard optional picks among machine gun, NOED, Whispers, Nurse's, Deerstalker, Iron Grasp, Agitation and the of course obligatory Brutal Strength.
