So apart from deserved bitching about Daria, can we all appreciate the state of the game and it's meta right now? Every class at least a couple of viable decks, even if it's a good deck and a meme deck combination sometimes.

Forest has OTK Roach and Wolfbolt.
Blood has an Aggro Bats and Control deck.
Rune has Daria, Dirt Rune and Dshift.
Sword has an Aggro deck and a Control deck.
Haven has Seraph and Sun Satan, some old men still play Elana and Storm to this day.
Shadow has an Aggro deck and Neph.
Dragon has Saha+Luci Ramp and a Discard OTK.

So if you can just ignore Daria being 1/4 of all decks on the ladder, i think that this expansion is preeeeeeeeetty good.

4chan as a platform has never been that good for discussion, but modern TCG communities have fallen very deep into the hole of becoming echo chambers. Every few days we get a "Hi I just hit master and I think XXX" thread where regardless of what the OP says, people either agree because they feel they can't contest someone higher ranked than them or because it agrees with their opinions. There are master players running around on this sub saying that Seraph needs to be nerfed, claim that aggro is countered by dragon, believed Nepthys would save Shadow, and that forest loses to blood.

Here's an unpopular take. Master is free for anyone who wants it. You shouldn't be worshiping players for just their rank if they can't defend their stances and explain why they say the things they say. If you can get them to illustrate their beliefs and you believe their explanations, it's on you now. The problem is that the current climate has stifled independent development of the individual's ability at card games and you don't even see questions being asked. The big meme of RoB is Daria, but does the hatred of Daria stem from just hatred of the deck like Elana was or is there more to it?

Things get repeated and repeated until it's accepted as fact. It's hard to blame as Hearthstone caused a large resurgence in TCG popularity so there are many new players. The problem is that these new players aren't developing the mindset you need to succeed in and understand card games.

Here's a bit of a conundrum if you were caught up in the 4chan hate train. If I ask the following opposing questions, can you honestly say to yourself you understand both? They're basic questions but I feel as if even this would be difficult for some people on this sub4chan. Why would you consider Daria overpowered if she has multiple bad matchups and a 53% overall winrate? On the reverse, if she has bad matchups why does everyone still bring her to tournament if that's what is expected?

Now, this doesn't mean you can't have opinions and feelings about the game. Is Daria overpowered if you exclusively look at win rates? Not at all, but that doesn't mean you can't make a good case for why she's bad for the game. You can still say this meta sucks and be completely justified. If players don't find the game fun, it doesn't matter how balanced a game is. The problem is that it's all too common to see people complaining about cards they just don't like. If they give nerf suggestions, it's typical that their fix would more or less remove it from the game as well.

All I ask is that we start being more critical of what's posted in this sub4chan. There's plenty of resources to help. Shadowlog exists and for the most part, popular deck stats are pretty accurate. There's no excuse for people to still think Sword is dead or that Blood beats Forest. There's plenty of translations of analysis from top ranked players that go beyond the typical 4chan "I feel this way because I don't like it" posts. Reach out to 4chanors and streamers that you think know what they're doing. I'm sure they'd be happy to help.

TLDR: 4chan sucks but for the love of god, please stop submitting to the echo chamber and develop your own understanding. The resources are there and parroting other people just causes you to stagnate.
