Yes, like when you out-control a deck with you deck that isnt control like a roach deck.

It feels very satisfying reversing the roles and being the one that grinds them down and then finishes them off instead of the other way around.

Last match I had against control sword he went through two aurelias, 1 alwidas, 2 alberts, 1 frontguard, 2 novice lancers, 3 healing angels, 3 unicas and 1 tsubaki but I still got the win.

look, what I'm trying to get at is, if someone wants to consistently beat daria, and tries seraph to do that, they will win noticably more games than they lose, but they'll lose a lot. It's not anti-meta the same way control blood was anti-meta in the first weeks of the expansion, not anti-meta like playing rogue against the hunters during karazhan release who wanted to try out kindly grandmohter, etc, etc

every leader either got or still has a board clear against otohime now.

Daria's board flood is too beefy for midgets to handle, and Daria is too consistent at getting out that superior board turns 4-6 in which case Otohime becomes unplayable.

Sword relies on its weenie swarm to create enough pressure and breathing space for Otohime to come down safely. Otohime has never been a good play while behind, and you will almost always be behind against Daria in the midgame.

Control Sword barely or never relies on Otohime especially since you don't run Sage Commander in Control. Instead CSword has a lot of defensive early/mid game and even with that is slightly unfavored against Daria (still the best Sword variant against her though).

Meanwhile, Mid/Control Sword has always had a good matchup against Forest of any kind, it's just that the current OTK Roach deck is bad against Sword because of all the wards rather than the traditional Otohime pressure.

For both these matchups, Sword wins regardless of Otohime and not because of her.

Control sword doesn't have much of an issue clearing Daria's board, with tools like Aurelia, Amelia, and cyclone blade. These actively punish her for playing too much shit, so finding time to play Otohime isn't that difficult.

Otohime's value comes from the ability to flood the board by herself. It's one card that makes your board quite threatening. Daria requires other cards to do this, and is certainly not guaranteed to get them.
