I like healing because it involves skillfully denying the enemy team, there's nothing like letting them waste all their ults then getting a 5+ ress, or a sleeping their pharah, or nano boosting genji. Also, it seems a lot easier dpsing or tanking.

Don't get me wrong, I like teamwork and coordination, but I take pride in my own game.

The only thing that upsets me about healing is that it's really rare to a get a potg as any hero other than Mercy, split screen duo potgs when?

Like, remove the idea of a headshot dealing double body shot damage or whatever. The body shot damage is the same, but if she lands a fully charged headshot the person she shot is dead.

Had to add that caveat, because if she did 350 damage on a fully charged body shot she would be too much to deal with.

Honestly, I mained medic in TF2 because I enjoyed healing other people and supporting my friends/allies, playing Mercy in OW gives me the same feeling, but I agree with you that the shit about the psychology behind why people heal is silly. I just find it fun to support in games with healers over playing DPS because I feel I underperform with them and I don't want to do that.

Teamwork is another great factor into why I like healing and supporting, but sometimes its infuriating to have to work around my teammates, especially if they are denser than a bag of rocks, but I do it anyways because playing Mercy and Ana are fun to me.

Because against a good Widow it means everyone including tanks is absolutely required to hide behind Reinhardt at all times and set themselves up for a Zarya ult wipe, or risk instant death with no chance of counterplay otherwise. I agree, and I'd like roadhog to stay powerful, but I feel his hook should be harder to land somehow. It's virtually an instakill hitscan on a 6 second cooldown.

What if his hook-on-a-chain actually felt like a hook-on-a-chain? What if you could control it while it's in the air by moving your cursor around and the only way to hook an enemy was to use a "wrapping" motion around their hitbox? Just hitting them with it would do just that, some damage and a short stun. I think this would raise roadhogs skill ceiling by a lot and be loads of fun.

Imagine the potential for sick skill-hooks around corners or at awkward angles. You could also just whip around in front of you and damage and stun everyone for .5s or whatever. It adds more versatility and makes him feel like an actual tank rather than a fat dps.

Why isn't hogs spread larger? Hook is only a problem because hogs shotgun spread is so fucking tight. He could be a tankbuster tank without being able to one-shot other characters if they just made his spread wide enough to miss most characters but small enough to hit tanks.

Or you know move the hook targets further out again so that he ONLY does extreme damage to tanks and everyone else except for Tracer is far enough out not to instantly kill them.

As far as her getting low percentages of the kills in that video, I think that speaks more to how efficiently teams focus fire at high ranks. I don't think she's a viable damage dealer for lower ranks, but she can still win teamfights without even pressing left click. The main thing this latest change has taught me is that there will always be people bitching about the hook because 95% of the people playing this game give no fucks about positioning and Hog's entire purpose is to punish people out of position. Hog isn't a tank, and I kind of hate Blizzard for putting him there. He should be offense. He can't do anything an actual tank is supposed to do except eat shots for his team I guess, and even then he's the worst option for that because he has no way to prevent the other team from charging ults off him like every other actual tank does.

Also, he'd be useless if he couldn't one shot people because his followup is terrible. If you actually played Hog you'd know how many Anas/Meis/Reapers/Tracers/Genjis got away before they rebalanced the hook and he can't do shit about it. Then they come back and fuck him over because his threat level without hook is basically nonexistent.

Hog isn't broken, and I don't care how many times you've gotten yanked and spanked for doing something stupid in front of him. He's not even hard to fight if you have a brain or you happen to be stupid but have a Zen/Ana/Zarya/Mei around, who either melt him or negate the hook entirely. The bitching will never end though.

That's the punishing out of position retards thing I mentioned earlier. You're right that a key component of a tank is disruption of the enemy formation, but again every other tank does that better in some fashion, though they usually have to use an ult to do so. I think one of the reasons Hog gets so much hate is his disruption is a lot more frequent if you're getting hooks off-cooldown, but if you're managing to do that then you aren't going against terribly skilled players.

Idea for a new Omnic character.

There's one niche that hasn't been done yet, and that's a character who can stay clung to walls and on ceilings and also attack. Imagine an Omnic character who can climb up and around walls and ceilings for unconventional angles of attack and defense. You can still move around and fire while crawling on walls and ceilings, and your POV remains normal like with Genji's spin-jumping. You could also lay down proximity mines/tracking devices on walls and ceilings, and also wall-jump between two surfaces that are close enough, like in Numbani and Oasis.
