My friend and I are gunna level 1-110 with no heirlooms. We must only get our gear from loot and questing, no exceptions. We are adding some additional rules to make it more fun.

examples:

>if we want to roll a dungeon we must walk to the dungeon in the game, but then we can queue for it.
>no buying weapons or armor from the AH
>only one dungeon clear per dungeon, ever, until 110

Never using LotM is silly, but you should only use it on either your beacon target or someone else provided your beacons are on full health. Using it as a regular heal is silly though when beacon is your strength, you also have to remember that it effectively does half of its hps because it subtracts health from you that either you or another healer will have to heal eventually.

You only ever use LotM if your using it on the tank (beacon) and they're the only one taking damage in the raid. Any other time its a loss, it'll make you look shit hot on skada though because skada doesn't factor the damage substraction.

Use it on movement or if someone is literally about to die or if your beacon target is the only person in the raid taking damage. Using it almost any other scenario is dumb because all your other healers do double healing because of beacon, compared to half healing from lotm because you take damage.

ok, How the fuck do I deal with monks.
I can deal with them for the most part if I can get around ToK but the moment they pop it, I cant do anything and neither can my teamate, while he can do whatever he wants to me.
the simple answer is to Heroic Leap out of compton but at that point Im usually low enough on health that I need to heal and my Enraged regen would have to be used on his teamate, which by then Im usually CC'd so hard its as if someone broke the very hands on my keyboard, followed by death.

You can't dispel the physical ToK debuff, but you can dispel the damage it applies if you hit the monk. It's pretty easy to handle monks once they pop ToK, if you fear on his ToK, stun and setup to pull trinket and then stun 30 seconds later with cross cc on partner and get the kill.
