nin doesn't really get interesting til 45 when you get your full set of mudras, but if you like positionals then yea it's not going to be your class, since you get three total and they're used less frequently than the others. they also have some excellent utility skills if that's your thing
mnk is more or less in its final form at 30, since you only get one relevant gcd skill between then and heavensward, and the rest is quality of life shit and off-gcds
if raiding is a concern for you ninjas have been a staple of raiding groups pretty much since they were introduced and monk has mostly fallen by the wayside. the game is balanced enough that you should be able to run what you want tho

Like you've got people that do a single stack for Flare Star for no actual reason when any flank positionals in an opener (Heavy Thrust, MNK's entire Perfect Balance) will get diminished potency when they could instead stack separately, the rear huggers and the flank and Flare Star comes out 7 GCDs later (Touch of Death in a MNK opener) and you can move inbetween two stacks and not lose any uptime and not sacrifice potency.

Bard provides no more support than SMN does in most instances. 99% of your support is just turning on Foes. With SMN you do get supervirus, Eye, and res if pugs mess things up. So its not like SMN doesnt have support as well its just less iconic with it.
