and just in general winning faster is better, there's a reason seraph displaced sun satan during DE, unless you're being petrified or odin'd it's really nice to put the game on a very quick 0 RNG clock, instead of waiting around to be burst down by bloody mary combos, chipped down by csword's beaters, being forced to play DoD/piercing targets to proceed toward winning the game

2 of Seraphs worst match up are the most played decks in masters. Both roach otk and ramp Dragon shit on Seraphs life. Dragon definitely has the draw to get into his double or triple Odin, and he'll do so before you have the mana to play your Seraph. That's assuming you can ward off his damage, which you can't.

Seraph has no good wards, which is why it's now bottom tier in masters storm+Odin meta, whereas the lower you go in the ladder, the better it performs, because aggro Blood/Shadow, and Daria dominate the lower ranks.

Anecdotes. The same way my experience with Seraph is anecdotes. Look at the data sites, they support both my argument and his. Seraph has higher usage and winrate in AA than sun satan does. Sun Satan has higher winrate in masters than seraph does, and if you look at syadoreco's last 3 days instead of shadowlog/syadoreco's "up to 1/22" view, higher usage too. If you had particular trouble with seraph in AA that was just a bad luck streak.

Eliminated in the quarterfinals. The last seraph player got buttfucked by wolfbolt and dshift, ramp player A got ROACHED, and ramp player B won with dragon but couldn't pull out a win with his roach deck.
2/7 of the ramp dragon entrants making it through 3 rounds of single elim is a great record though, a hell of a lot better than I could have guessed the deck would be from watching some random masters streamer play around with it in the earliest days of the expansion. Certainly a better showing than sword or shadow put up.
