The warden top heavy is pretty OP - mainly because none of these scrubs know how to parry. The range and homing is superb as well.

I feel kinda bad. I don't need to use any other moves to win in Dominion, and dueling isn't too much different either. I end up advising my opponents not to do top attacks against a warden, and cheering for my teammates instead of ganking on their opponent. Then they return the favor by four people ganking me at once. I'm just too much honoru for my own good

Assassins have shit defense - better hit them with light attacks and hope they wont punish with a parry than let them guardbreak you for a certain hit.
Bots are bots
It's easy to punish gankers if you have a good top heavy attack, and if your defense is solid, you'll tie down the enemy into a battle that will lose the war for them regardless of outcome.
Guard break is a matter of positioning and keeping up those light attacks. Heavy attacks have longer range than guardbreaks, usually, and I often hit them this way.
Falling deaths is about situational awareness. It's annoying, but not too much.

Your parries or dodges have to be on point because parrying is the best way to set up an opening, but you have to dodge their stun chains, and since your top heavy is your main damage dealer by far, you can't play risky at all because you will get so punished, each top heavy needs serious setup

Just go into duals with bots with the class you wanna learn and slowly rev up its difficulty.
make sure you learn which of your attacks can flow into others.
Starting out peacekeeper i couldn't even figure out how to do multiple bleed stabs and I didn't know you could get in a combo after riposting stabbing people.

That was just a lucky match, I still often get hit with hits that should be easy blocks/deflects.

easy wins, faceroll assassins are directly countered by faceroll warlord. can't dash in and hidden guard because warlord can all-guard parry. can't dash in and guardbreak because the warlord is just waiting to tech already. can't stand in footsie range because auto-tracking 10ft bullshit headbutt lunge is coming for your ass. basically you have to dance in and out of a warlord's range and hope they whiff aggression / manage stamina badly. but typical day 1 players don't display basic fight spacing so you can attack and trade in your favor whenever then step into your bubble.

the only downside is not much damage but you will outlive anything and beat them with single lights so its ok.

i played only nobushi the entire first day. yesterday was warlord. today i'm kinda feeling like playing kensei and just playing fundamentals so i'm not relying on cheese too much. if you can finish 2 combos you win, but you don't have much bullshit to work with aside from the dash in mix-up and the unblockable feint. their defense is just the honest basics from what i remember.

Knights probably have the most casuals; just from being the biggest faction. More ppl=more kiddies=more losses. All the wins effectively count as like 4/7ths of a win when you've got a sea of peacekeepers and conquerors jobbing out there.
Plus, like he said, lots of people don't even seem to realize there's a Next Match tab, let alone that they have to manually cash in their war assets. So even if my theory about being the biggest faction is wrong, if nobody's cashing in their WA it doesn't matter.

I've got the exact same specs as you except a 770 (2gb) instead of a 970, and on high/max settings I'm getting a constant 60.

Everything defaulted to maximum when I first booted the game up and I got 50 - 60 even though the game told me I had below minimum specs, it seems very well optimized.

Just spam light attacks against assassins. For everyone else this strat also works but add in some heavy attacks if it's safe to do so. Keep changing attack directions while doing your combo to help you land a lot of attacks in as well.

Use your spacing and character range to judge whether it's a good idea to use heavy attacks or not. Watch the advanced videos for your class then fight lvl 2 bots of your class to learn how they wreck you.

Has anyone found a way to fix the dead-zones for controllers? I need to move the joystick about 90% of the way to the edge just for it to actually change the block/attack direction. Controllers already have the "grab on x/square" problem and this just makes it seem even worse despite seeming like it should be a game that's good for controlers
