I've been playing a lot of kensei and I got to the satisfying point of being able to mind game with other people and just steamroll them, now I'm bored and I wanna try another character.

Need to press strong attack when the enemy's attack flashes red. Parries aren't hard to get in this game. There's no riposte. You usually follow with a guardbreak and then a heavy attack.

One exception is the warden. You can super-riposte overhead attacks by pressing light attack instead of strong attack. You'll do an instant counter for big damage.

Is anyone else getting some pretty piss poor framerate on some of the maps?

I could max out the game the last test, and this test I have to put it to medium to get consistently 60 FPS.

My system is more than good enough, so I don't know what gives:

Gentleman, how do we fix Parries and Guardbreaks?

The game has devolved into people staring at each other and no one wanting to attack, because the instant you do, you get parried.

Parries lead into a guard break, or a character specific thing.

Guard Breaks are the only true source of damage, and the game is becoming like dork souls. Except instead of fishing for backstabs, it's fishing for guard breaks Guard break into a heavy attack or some sort of class specific combo.

And I'm not complaining about them being overpowered, I'm trying to figure out ways in which they could be used less often. The game is already forming a meta, and it's gonna kill the game. The game should, in theory, be about all aspects of it. Combos, mix ups, foot work, zoning, but instead it's literally just parry/guard break.

Today I played Warden in Duel's and Brawls

Had a funny bug in a dominion game, I revived my friend but the game didn't properly register it. He was revived, but he was invisible (and appeared dead in the HUD) but he could revive and attack people.

Suffice to say we won that game.

Conqueror is by far the weakest class in the game. Enjoy even your light attacks getting parried, having no options other than shield bash, and having the worst guard breaks.

He beats up noobs pretty hard because they don't understand his charge attack and his shield bash, but the instant you fight someone who can parry and hit the dodge button, you lose.

I originally played controller only. I was too used to it, but the left stick on my ps4 controller has this stuttering issue (apparently it's pretty common and can't be fixed)

so I went into bot mode and fought the lvl 1 raider until I could beat him three times in a row without taking any damage with kb+m.

I think I like the keyboard more. Just make sure to rebind keys to suit your playstyle.

It's not a parry that he's talking about.
It's Warden's "Crushing Counterstrike" it has the same timing as a parry but you do it with a light attack and it does more damage than a normal parry followup and allows you to cancel into shoulder since it's a light attack.
Only works on overhead attacks.
