I used to play this thing and really liked a couple of the stories. But I couldn't be bothered with committing hours upon hours of regular mmo play and really boring questlines to get through the fun story.

Have they done the only thing an mmo should do and that for some reason only Blizzard figured out is absolutely necessary and eased the lower levels SIGNIFICANTLY after new content came out?

Or does it still take quite a few dozens of hours to pass a full storyline?

Yes. They stream lined it to where you basically only need to do the class arc for a planet. Class and planet story arc if you want to be slightly overleveled. You can be like 40~50 by the end of chapter one if you abuse xp boosts

Dear /swgg/

I just came back after a couple years after my friend suggested to join him. I bought monthly because I needed them CC for tf and they needed someone to piggyback off of for PvP.

Now, my mates have been playing pretty much PvP centric, or jump on alts to do their own thing. Currently I'm left me to my own lonely devices, I still talk to them but interaction in SWTOR is limited but I am pretty much playing TOR as intended: all alone.

I never got into raids or endgame shit because all of my friends would ditch me just as I got to max level so I gave up for a couple of years.

Am I shit for being on-off since 2014 and not knowing a lick about end game? How do I make friends? How the fuck do I get into roleplay?

Spoiler - basically, you get frozen in carbonite for five years. Your companions disband and lead their own lives. You can get back the NPCs from a terminal on Odessen, but canonically, many of them don't have continuations to their stories and so are just walking body pillows. So you can still run around with your favorite companion, but as far as the story is concerned, they're somewhere among the stars. Unless Bioware creates something for them, you may never truly speak to or kiss your waifu again.

Depending on your class, you may have better or worse luck. For instance, BH can get four of his companions back through short story quests, while Consular only gets one.

That happened to me once. I got there first and waited with an aoe hovering over the spawn point just in case someone would come in and try to steal it. Some dudes came behind me and tried to group, but I couldn't hit OK with my mouse stuck with the skill, so I escaped out of it. Then they wouldn't respond when I told them to re-invite and kept spamming their aoes over the point. Of course what really matters is focus and reflex, I snuck my own in at the exact moment he spawned and took my kill.

The people that irritate me are the stealthers that wait by looting points like dead bodies. You can't see them and they try to sneak loot right out from under your nose. I win the draw 9 times out of 10, but it wouldn't even be an issue if they stayed visible and allowed me to knowingly wait in line or group with them.

I just hope they'll start instancing off areas and increasing spawn rates. I can never do the pub side rakghoul hunt on Taris because of that, even though it's directly connected with the jedi holojournal instance tunnel. How do you even be that flipfloppidy with design?

Better idea for Bounty Hunters. Mando seeker which you can actually get in game through various pieces at Voss iirc with the helmet at the fleet. No idea for non mando outfits. For Inquisitor it depends on the idea for it. Warrior, both ACs, have some degree of cybernetics in their armor. Only real connector for Inq is robes from the looks of it.

If you're a Sniper or Gunslinger, none. If you're an Operative or Scoundrel (and they haven't removed the ability to do so from the onset), crouch just makes you crouch in place to no effect. Take cover only works while you target an enemy, then it'll highlight different 'cover' points you can snap to.
