Because the timing isn't as strict and meant to accomodate for the normals being slower. BB has no 3 frame jab or anything like that, so the moves you use to meaty are thrown out later with a longer lasting hitbox.

Capcom has a lot of characters I fucking love, but Street Fighter itself seems really bland compared to like Devil May Cry or Resident Evil or whatnot. Feel like Cammy is simply a tool instead of something to be involved in.

So my first tournament experience was a an Anime Convention. It was TTT2 and 8 people were in (myself included). About 6 of them didn't know what they were doing and the other two were actually pretty good. Last round went on for awhile and I ended up winning. I think I gotta go do another one sometime later because I expected more from a tourney. I guess people were waiting for Tekken 7 and the fact that it was in a convention.

it's a netplay client but you can alternatively start ggpofba, it's just the final burn alpha emulator. load vsav first then map inputs, local play shouldn't be a problem as long as the sticks get recognized. only annoying thing is if you use IME for japanese input for example, it'll be difficult to map normally since the kanji key gets "stuck" and ignores controller inputs

There are lots of duds in the US FGC solely because of their connection with Capcom US and high executive personalities.

Floe, Aris, Mike Ross and many others. That happens a lot when you have corporate organizers rather than community ones. Did you see that NYC KI event Arturo did?

That event was run by Microsoft not KI community organizers, Keits didn't even know it was a thing and it was clear they weren't sure how to actually run it. Player interview after every match, commentator desk that looked like it was in another location, "casters" instead of commentators, etc

It happens with other games too, most professional Overwatch commentary is done by guys who were league of legends casters and don't really know or play the game for example.

Capcom has been trying to do that with the Capcom Pro Tour and it's been really awkward and shitty.

Commentary should always done by people who actually play the game and at least one of them should be able to play at a high level. Like Yipes is mostly known for his personality but he's actually really smart and knowledgeable about the games he plays, he knows most the frame data off the top of his head and understands match ups really well.

Yipes is kind of the perfect commentator all on his own. I've noticed that most of the successful pairings include a Hype Guy and a Tech Guy. Hype Guy gets excited about things and talks shit, while Tech Guy knows stuff and explains things. A combination of the two is pretty good, just like it's nice to have versions of those guys that can dip a little into the other pool.

Makes BB commentary kind of annoying though, no Hype Guys in that pool.

VSkill makes that happen, and some characters VSkill and what charges it are completely out of whack.

It's like they wanted the game to be like Blazblue in the fashion of giving the characters all a "drive" but that design philosophy failed because they forgot to make the situations that charge the gimmicks occur across the board so that people are able to take advantage of them equally.

Much of this is reminiscent of the original perception of SF IV.

People had many of the same complaints, but the thing is, the game could be balanced cause everyone had access to the majority of the tools. It was tweaking numbers, primarily, to make SF IV a more enjoyable experience.

V can't just tweak the numbers. You'd have to probably change some of the V skills from the ground up to be more competitive.

I'm against nerfing what little fun can be had in the game, and would rather people be brought up to the scope of fucking retarded so we'd atleast have a dick waving match for how well you utilize V skill.

There has never been a completely balanced fighting game, there will always be a group of characters are better than the rest.
