Chu answers questions so let's see if we can beat his filter and actually get him to slip something relevant to the lore.

From what I've seen it has to be a question that:

>pertains to 76, Reaper, Ana, Mercy, Genji, or Hanzo
>is laced with a compliment
>is answered just as much as it would be unanswered
>small enough of a detail that he could know the answer on the spot

And, of course, along with those requirements needs to be able to imply something relevant to the lore. Obviously this won't be easy, so we need to work together. Maybe once we have some contenders we can vote on which ones to send out and ask. Even if we're unsuccessful, it'll be fun messing with Chu a little.

I know about the voice line. I'm slightly working the dumb angle. I also believe if they were friends Morrison would, and should have refereed to Reyes by his first name. If not they maybe they aren't as close as we think? Depending on Chu's answer it would actually imply a good amount about how Morrison saw Reyes. And if Chu won't answer the question that might imply that it's actually a bigger plot detail than we formerly thought. It could potentially catch him in a bind. That's the point.

One of the basics of writing a story is the question: Why is this happening now?

The question is so that you focus on the most exciting part of the story and stay focused.

The answer to that seems to be the Recall, but S76's story, Talon, and Genji's return all are completely disconnected.

It's not a deal breaker, but the fact that it has not been even answered kind of implies that he has no plans of continuing that story.

Chu said he doesn't want to tell a continuous story he wants to leave it arbitrary. It's divided into separate character stories. It's even possible that some stories may never merge. Which means characters in the cast could potentially never canonically meet.

With that said, the only decent character arc is 76, Ana, and Reaper. It's the only one fleshed out, shows potential, and seems to be the one he's spent the most time writing. Honestly, he even seems to be more interested in it himself seeing as Old Soldiers was the first comic he wrote.

You kind of have to like the characters as they are separately because this disjointed means of story telling is not going to go away for a long time.

Metzen was the one who had Tracer become a lesbian and he was pushing hard for it back in 2015 when first asked about who in the cast would be gay. I think this is left over from that. Also Chu said he wants to do something that actually explores how Emily and Tracer met.

Totally agree with this. Recollections was the moment that we should have learned about her, and that is now past. As much as I would like to see her again, its better if she stays in the background.

Roadhog can hook and insta-kill. Mei can freeze and kill. Pharah can kill without even taking damage. Winston can tank her damage and kill her.
Junkrat can trap and blow her up. McCree can flash and headshot. There's lot of options.

So, I got this game as a christmas gift and have only been lightly playing it. I'm finding this game, at least in my own experience, to be somewhat cancerous in the fact that I'm getting messages, for doing mediocre, not amazing, but ok, telling me to get off their "fucking game and go back and play casual games, you faggot. This is Esports shit, not some kiddy cod game". In your opinion, what do you find as this games strengths and weaknesses? FYI I mostly played Soldier 76 or Junkrat because of all my time playing demoman back on TF2.

That's the thing, there is no skill needed in this game, Blizzard doesn't understand what makes a game both fair and fun. I mean seriously this relates to both WoW and Overwatch, characters are buffed and nerfed on whim dictating what is viable and what isn't rather than basing the entire game around equal opportunity and skill. This shit winds up turning into a cooldown match where roadhog either hooks you from 40000 degrees sideways or brainless characters dont even need to aim. Overwatch is a huge mess.
