You have to block in the direction of the incoming attack, unless you're a shield class that has a full block.
Nobushi's hidden stance thing, where she stands on one foot with her spear behind her has a half second or so of i-frames, where attacks pass right through her. There's no directional component to it, so it will avoid any attacks, but it costs a fuckton of stamina and if they mistime it they get hit. If she successfully dodges an attack she can probably poke back fast enough to punish you though, and she has some other options like the kick and a dodge if she needs them.

This game feels really fucking unresponsive, once someone gets going they seem to attack faster than you can dodge.

Heavy Hit in the direction of the swing. so if its bottom left use heavy hit on the bottom left around the half way mark. you will see the red mark grow fuck off big and flash white. that is the sweet spot. This is a Perfect Parry. Go into training mode, its under tutorial. And practice on bots. once you get it down your golden.

Of course the meta is to use guard break at the moment so even mastering that move, if your not swinging someone is going to hit you with a guard break.

How do you defend against a Peacekeeper spamming attacks from 3 directions? Am I just too old?
I can manage to block/parry every other class but the Peacekeeper feels like a fucking hurricane, I get overwhelmed every time.
