Locking the only good content they release behind a chest system is classic HiRez. No one should really have a problem with that, it's expected. As far as I know, HiRez only made 4 games. One of which failed to make any money and they closed it, another became a failer in time.
The other two are Smite and Paladins. Smite still being pretty damn strong and Paladins not showing that much of a weakness.

Keep new skins and shit in their crystal chests and when they expire in favor of the newer chests, add them to the radiant chest drop pool.
