The easiest way is to buy a staff off the market. For armor you can buy it with gold, wvw currency, or karma. The karma version can't be salvaged, so if you end up buying it don't put any valuable runes in it.

I love their voice lines, the wit of your character is lovely, but I never feel like putting any effort into getting clothes or weapons because of how small the character model is; if I could port the voice over to a different race I'd probably stop playing my Asura, but until I can I'll keep doing living story missions with my msura and gameplay with my mcharr

Not the guild leader specifically, but it can show up in the guild's history. But it can also be washed away by other donations or go easily unnoticed, so you'd have to make an announcement while he's on.

Most likely your contribution will be washed away with time, like all relations, like all efforts. It may be better to ask your leader what you actually need for upgrades, or join a normie guild that's been leveled, the latter isn't hard to do. Cheers.

For those who've been playing from a long time ago, did the game got "heavier" or something like that?

I upgraded my GPU from HD Radeon 7950 to GeForce GTX 970 about 6 months ago and I haven't been playing the game, but I think these are very low fps for my spec.
If I recall correctly, during launch when I was with the Radeon 7950, I'd even get 150fps on some areas with an average of 60~ on high populated areas.
Now I can't even break 50fps with no one but me on screen somewhere desert, and average 25fps on cities or anywhere with about 10 characters on screen.

I've tried changing the graphic settings but the change seems minimal, like a 5~7fps gain from almost highest to lowest settings.
I've also changed my display recently, I'm using a 4k and since the game looks hideous in 1080p (almost having regrets getting a 4k display), but strangely enough there's NO difference from 1080p to 4k in fps, if any it's like 1~2fps and I've been testing this everywhere and every time...

Anyway, does anyone have similar issues?
Also, from the pic, it's weird that even though I'm having these low fps the CPU/GPU load are averaging 55%/40%, shouldn't it be pushing for more?

i'm pretty new to the game, couple of months, the game has a decent ammount of content, but all of my friends refuse to play it again because they have been burned by it before (we're all former wow players), their main complaints being no duels, not being to inspect the gear of other players and no dps meters

i can understand the inspect and dps meters part, but dueling your mates while waiting for queues would be nice

also i think this game has a problem similar to eve when you reach max level, the hand holding is odd it's there but not really, even though you can choose from a variety of shit to do, people just get lost and fizz out

i like that the game doesn't have addons, i've been in pretty decent guilds in wow but watching boss timers is boring as shit and takes you out of the game, i like that you actually have to have awareness and watch what the bosses do in GW2

ascended armor is needed in high level fractals though, infusion slots are needed for high AR and being able to inspect other players' gear wouldn't increase kicks for casual guys.

like there's already people demanding full ascended chat links. a player walking into a scale 100 group with only 1 or 2 ascended armor pieces will and should justify a kick because sooner or later everyone will know, AR instakills you lol. also i'm sure you've read it on the thread and on reddit or whatever but more often than not the pugs recruited through LFG for raids wear entirely wrong stats, runes, sigils, and probably the wrong rarity while linking a tempered legendary insight link. there's a line in there somewhere you know? sure you might be trying out a new build but wearing nomad's to raids and running DPS traits? running random runes? wearing anything but exotic+ gear? come on, these people would be kicked out regardless at that point. nobody is kicking out players for not wearing full ascended to a dungeon run lol

Asuras, hologram technologies, mystical energies and leyline lore, golems from different centuries, man clashing with the supernatural like we often see between technological factions and elder dragon minions being experimented on, enemy and ally factions like the Aetherblades and the Pact that use this magitech to the point of being a defining feature for them, and the narrative of the Mists as a whole.

We went from the Mists being a hot bed of primal forces in the Underworld where the basic building blocks of reality bubbled and spawned ghostly creatures to being in alternative universes accessed by technology. The death of two elder dragons is tilting the balance of the world and we've been warned of the world coming to an end a handful of times already. It happened before during ancient times, though the elder dragons fell asleep back then. We're KILLING them, the energies they consume whirl untamed without masters to contain them.

GW3 being a sci-fi MMORPG doesn't seem too far off, like exploring the Mists could be a possibility instead of exploring the rest of Tyria.

ArenaNet were rash enough to destroy Lion's Arch back when it was an important capital. Do you think they're bold enough to destroy Tyria years from now and progress into GW3 from that angle? Survivors marooned in the Mists, only able to witness reflections of what once was from fragile safe havens floating in the Mists. Maybe some races escape while others stay behind to deal with the apocalypse? If all of this were to happen, would we see a race war fueled by the betrayal of abandonment?

TL;DR Do you think ArenaNet's endgame is to blow up Tyria (the planet) and migrate civilization into the Mists? Other planets, like the original realm of the humans?

Braham was raised in Cragstead by his father, if I recall correctly. Eir was absent for a majority of his life and then all of a sudden they're forced to make up after the events of LS1 and the invasions by the Molten Alliance. ArenaNet doesn't tell good tales often, so naturally the bonding between mother Eir and son Braham felt rushed because that's what ArenaNet does; rush things for a dry and lackluster experience. We could've seen Eir and Braham bond through mutual loss and emotional morale, through loyalty by common enemy that is Jormag and his reign on the Far Shiverpeaks. Instead, the player walks to Frostgorge Sound and hits F on some ice and tada!!! Thanks mom I love you now!!!! Wow! All because some zerg came 10 minutes before and cleared it all for you, fuck.

So when Braham chimps out, it looks unwarranted. Why would he care THIS much for Eir?

Let's pretend that their reunion wasn't so rushed. Braham wanting swift retribution for how his mother died does merit some justification, he wants revenge and revenge blinds people. She was backstabbed by the duchess of the Nightmare Court of all people, who was rescued by the player character and could've gotten away with her evil act if she ran faster than she did. It's not rational, it's reckless and dangerous, but that's just how people are for those they care about. That sort of experience turns heroes into villains, allies against one another, and Braham is out for blood. As you saw during episode 3, he wasn't "chosen," he only fetched a scroll that imbued his longbow with a special fire. You were there, Rox was there, and simply holding the bane of Jormag and the icebrood doesn't mean he'll get to use it to deal the final blow.

At this point I want to see Braham knocked back to his senses and calm down. I don't want him to die, I like him and Eir's legacy rests in his hands. The guy is going to hit a wall if he keeps pushing the way he is.

So i bought HoT, i haven't olayed the game in liek 2 years. I have a norn guardian, sylvari necro, a low level human warrior and a human thief. I want to make a new character but idk what and i have that level 80 boost too.

Recomendations? What looks good fashion wise? Can also spend some dosh on the gemshop if need be;

I wanted the Furrocious ears :( but sadly i missed the chance to get those i guess.

Also im not even sure what classes are still really relevant now.
