I like to think of gender confused "people" as weak.

No, faggot. You're the stream monster, and it's really clear you have no idea what you're saying. This is proven when you think 70 star is a hard category. You don't even have to take my word for it, ask any of the top 120 runners what they think about 70 star. It's a joke category to them.

It's not uncommon for SM64 runners to get 55 or better within weeks of doing their first runs. Generally they practice a lot more than they do attempts, because their focus isn't solely on artistically getting a time, but on becoming better at the game.

Cheese05 himself had a 50 within 2 months of picking up the game. Granted, it was on VC, but that's still more optimized than a 52 on N64.

ok you fuckers. this is how it works.

you do your first run, usually a normal play through. you then route the game. you then do a timed run of that route. you continue to do runs of that route until you find better strats or a new route. you do runs until you have trouble improving your time. at that point if you don't have a new route/strat you practice the areas of the current route that give you trouble. after a few hours of practice you do another run and if you still have trouble you practice for another couple hours.

if the route changes or a new glitch is found you start the whole process over.

you do this until you have the world record.

there. that is speedrunning in a nutshell.
