I want to get locked in an airtight prison and fix him with hope. One night, he silently sneaks over to the bathrooms. Strips of toilet paper extend from his clenched fist when he walks into my room. But his hands stop, centimeters away from my throat, and begin to shake violently. Something is wrong. One by one, his trembling fingers let go of the roll, and with a soft thud, the toilet paper falls onto the carpet. He throws himself on me and buries his face right where I'd have been strangled, clutching at the fabric of my clothes. His whole body shakes feverishly and I scoop his body into my arms and tell him that everything will be okay, just like usual. His silent sobbing turns to wailing that echoes out into the dimly lit corridors beyond the door.

Just woke up to see the Gamer-High poll, so let me give some clarification on context:

It's a huge game site, so the sampling is indeed huge, but that poll came out first/second day of release. /drg/ itself went through KAITOBOYS phases and beyond while it happened. So this poll is great for what characters people liked at the START of the game. No streamers had beaten it at the time, so humans did the human thing where their opinion changed.
And this is why Kaito gets no art. I'm a little mad.

I feel Danganronpa 3's woes have more to do with Kishi's direction than Kodaka's writing. The MINDHACK ANIME could have worked if it was explained in the context of having an animator/artists work used by a brainwashing cult, which is a thing that did happen in Japan.

Also they treat Junko as a supervillain rather than a cult leader.

I don't really think so. I don't remember him ever getting all preachy and telling Munakata he was wrong and his way was right. He was even willing to listen and compromise but Munakata was the one that didn't want to listen.
Even then you could argue that's why he opened up HPA again. He saw all the shit that Tengan/Mitarai caused by trying to force hope on people so he decided to let people/students find their own hope like the DR2 class did.

Well, I made a thesis in one of the previous threads that timings in Chapter 1 are weird as fuck, how well synchronized Tsumugi, Amami and Kaede's actions are. No one explained how and why Tsumugi got the second ball to replace Kaede's missed ball with pink fibers, no one said why Tsumugi went to the toilet in the first place, no one explained why Amami went so fast straight to the library at the start of the meeting. But you can explain it all if it was all planned in advance. The main problem is why they done it, and the answer for this is unknown until we'll know that Amami's true agenda is.
