An ENB is killer for that. Probably the most important thing. With a couple tweaks to TKRE it can go from colorful to grim.

VIGILANT is crammed to the brim with DaS armor, weapons, even rings. Check out FunkyGandalfCat's stuff too, it's great.

I have Enhanced Landscapes, which makes the Morthal area really cool. If you want that dead look everywhere though, Dark Fantasy Overhaul is really awesome.

Sidenote, if you're interested in ruining your game with hordes of draugr, check out Draugnarok. It also forces spooky weathers as things progress, but that can be disabled with the MCM.

Need more mods like this. I'm not a huge fan of Enhanced Landscapes due to its clipping issues and town/city overhauls that I use, but from what I've seen it does look nice. Dark Fantasy Overhaul is neat, too, but I think he removed the patch that took the mushrooms out of the Hjaalmarch region.

Any mods that make the world feel more...decaying? Draugnarok looks awesome as a means to have ""hollows"" running around and messing the place up, but are there any mods that add junk like ruins or modifying towns/villages to feel more ruined? I really want to do a playthrough where everything in Skyrim has gone to shit and focus on survival.

Rampage ENB works pretty well on mid range machines if you disable DoF and set some of the more demanding effects from high to medium. Still looks 10/10 compared to all the "lightweight" enbs.

Okay so remember a couple times the past week I've been complaining that my save crashes on load? Specifically it was after I finished The Forgotten City, any saves after that simply would crash during the load, even if loaded from coc elsweyr.
Well today I tried loading on a completely new install, everything from mods to the install itself is new. Literally only got to Hod and Gerdur's House, saved, then quit and loaded the save.
Same fucking thing. It crashes during loading screen.
Do you think this is my harddrive then? Or a corrupted windows?

Kountervibe has weather .inis, but they were all default values because he only used multiple weathers to support is raindrop/frost overlays when applicable. This carried into Rampage.

I cleaned out the .inis (fucking 121 of them) and made 21 individual weather .inis that have unique sky colors, lighting etc.

In addition to adding a shit ton of unique LUTs, I also adjusted the original ones to support Skyrim's palette better, as they were originally developed for a different game and just ported over to Skyrim.

But it is. I lurk both and ever since the OP of this general changed, more and more shitposts have been trickling in to the weekend lore threads. The lore community is still active, you realize. We actually discuss the game, speculate, and theorize considering we have an entire library of work to sift through and thoroughly discuss. We generate our content.

I'm having an issue where certain female NPCs will turn invisible during the daytime. I can still interact with them but their model is gone.

I thought it was a clothing mesh issue but I tried undressing them and the issue persists. Pretty sure it's not my body replacer because it's only happening to maybe 2 or 3 npcs that I can tell.

So I just got done playing through all the elder scrolls except arena because its a piece of shit. Heres my ranking

1. Morrowind
2. Skyrim
3. Oblivion
4. Daggerfall

Oblivion and skyrim were close but I feel oblivion fell short not being close enough to either morrowind or skyrim. It felt like a tech demo at times and the level scaling was cancer. Not very fun.

Skyrim was not without fault however. A lot of player freedom was stripped away, however many new and interesting mechanics were added back in to compensate. The world generally felt interesting.

Daggerfall was shit. Janky ass dungeons and glitchy.

Im hoping the new elder scrolls brings back more of that morrowind style gameplay where a player is given the tools to do what they want in the world. Spellmaking NEEDS to return. Dungeons also need their third dimension back. Exploring dungeons in morrowind was fun because there was so much to explore and hidden valuable items to find.

Out of all the combat mods I have, lock-on, attack commitment, and TK Dodge really revolutionize Skyrim's gameplay. And with Ultimate Combat, enemies dodge me as well. Then slap in SkyTweak to make getting hit significantly less forgiving, tweak power attacks so they're truly worth using at the heavy expense of stamina.

It's the best.

Got combat working very well with mods. It's fun and engaging.

I just have one problem. Scaling is really inconsistent. I can walk into a room and one shot one enemy, then get one shot by one of another type. I'm assuming it's because I met enemy type 1 at a low level or something and enemy type 2 is scaled to my current level or higher.

Is there a mod that scales every enemy in the game to your current level?

I like it because the dialogue is very simple and to the point. Some choice npcs have some flare dialogue like that one diabella worshiper in Riften, but it's all within the realm of possibility.

I haven't tried submit but I'll look into it. I liked the generated voices in Amorous Adventures but I couldn't get past the awful writing.

all freeze time mods work with the vanilla slow time effect, just set to something like 0.05 times speed instead of 0.1(max rank slow time).

So all you need to do is open skyrim with tesedit and change a single number on the rank 3 slow time effect. While the game can handle multipliers lower than 0.05, going down to like 0.01 may cause infinite casting bugs.

Currently I have Beatrice, Vivian, Kayleigh, Kaarina, and Galena. Somehow Kaarina and Galena doesn't crash any inns but I noticed that every followers other than them causes the crash. I tried some male followers too and they also crashes the inns.

Which followers need HDT physics? I haven't got it installed yet.
