How do I tell when I should pick certain optics over another? The difference between a 1x and 2x really feels like life or death. I always aim down sites unless an enemy is right in front of me. I love the high contrast scopes and VS reflex scopes. Contrast is just amazing in bio labs and Hossin. But the tech labs, or whatever those large bases with numerous shield generators are, I never know what to bring. It's long range on the outside and close range inside.

I only just now did the mouse-sensitivity calculation.
After getting one for 40cm I realized I may have been playing with something like 55cm/360 or some shit. Maybe even 60. This feels incredibly fast to me.

You know what's sad about the whole implant system? They took stuff out that were features of the game before, and put them back in as implants.

For example, the Implant that allows you to see the health bar of whatever target it is you're shooting at used to show up by default back when the game launched.

To be fair that change isn't entirely bad- being able to see your enemy's health is pretty uncommon in FPS games and defeats the whole risk or reward of engaging someone if you don't know if they're at full health or not (not that it stops players from mysteriously landing exactly the amount of shots required to kill someone and spinning their aim away before the other guy's playermodel has even dropped).

It's shit like Battle Hardened and the ridiculous screen shake or EOD HUD's band-aid for AI and tank mines falling through the world or not rendering that are worth complaining about.

They fucked up most of the armors so the Auraxium pattern now covers the entire thing, this is especially noticeable on the various 'backpacks' attached to the classes.

You can easily see it here where the backpack turns into a purple-colored mess and the shoulderpads lose the smaller, more detailed texture. Also shown is the same camo pattern (Viper) and how it's now plastered all over the playermodel including literally the entire helmet.

The camo itself wasn't changed I don't think, you can see the scale pattern lines up on the ass in the same spots but the right image has some more camera distortion and you can see more of the thigh.

I've kind of gotten over the helmet camo and accepted everything is awful because almost all the non-stock/composite VS helmets are absolute garbage and look even worse on cloakers (and the shininess covering more of the player is kind of neat) but it still looks really stupid if you're using a more visually busy pattern like circuitboard or cash/coins at which point it looks full retard.

Yeah, it's the lighting. Esamir tends to be very cool-colored with a lot of harsh, direct lighting while Hossin and Amerish are a lot warmer and darker. The light sources themselves affect it as well especially on high graphics settings (i.e. the orange light that the mega-pumpkins cast reflects off shiny Viper camo like nothing else, but is only really visible at evening/nighttime).
