The top 'barrel' in Mass Effect guns is an integrated ACOG style scope

The issue is that ME3 *removed* all the integrated scopes because of the modular upgrades system the game introduced. Which both broke ME gun design structure immediately, then broke it even MORE when scopes get bolted to the top of various guns.

All you need to do is compare ME2 and ME3 versions of guns (Mattock, Vindicator, etc) and you can see it clearly.

BW has already suggested that MEA will not be a trilogy. So I am looking forward to someone from Andromeda going back home to the Milky Way galaxy hundreds of years after the end of the Reaper war and seeing everything turned upside down.

I picture the Synthesis ending having taken full effect with corrupted Asari ruling the galaxy as super powerful fully sentient Banshees. Reaper enhancef Brute like Krogans would act as their enforcers, doing the Dark Adari's bidding and keeping the galaxy in line.

You would join the underground resistance formed by descendents of the few sentients that somehow avoided being transformed at the end of the war.
