Honestly, I know it sounds weird but I always loved Impmon turning into Beelzemon Blast Mode in Tamers. It has no sequence, but just him slowing down and then seeing that he turned into Beelzemon on his next steps always was one of my favourite moments in tamers. As far as animation goes, I probably like Wargreymon/Metalgarurumon or all the Biomerges in Tamers the most.

It's not that Bamco abandoned Nintendo, they still have a great working relationship. It's just that they felt like they didn't want to compete directly with Pokemon. If Digimon was on a Nintendo system, it would feel like even more of a cheap knockoff of a more successful series.

I'm sure if enough people wanted it, they wouldn't mind putting games on Nintendo consoles. Also, considering that the Switch is looking to take over much of Nintendo's handheld market, and the Vita is dying a slow painful death, we may just get Digimon on the Switch.

I guess CS exists tangentially, since it has Mirei and you travel to the real world of Re:Digitize at one point. Also while I know that world 2 had file island I wonder how it fits with Re:Digitize/N0/Card battle. I mean one has colonies of humans living in the digital world, as part of some simulation project and the other has the digital world as an MMO/Tamagotchi space. Card Battle( the one that came out in the west) is also shaky since it has the anime cast, and the implication that A ended up there, and didnt originate from that world.

Yeah, the anime characters appearing does make it seem kind of iffy, but Analogman and DW1 protag are both there so I don't see why it wouldn't count.

I mean, a handful of Adventure characters also appear in Re:Digitize so it's probably safe to say most Digimon games share the same multiverse as Adventure and the Ryo games.

Which I guess also connects them to Tamers.

And because of Lili appearing in Re:Digitize, Digimon also shares a multiverse with Tekken which shares a multiverse with SoulCalibur which shares a multiverse with Star Wars, and Tekken also shares a multiverse with Metal Gear Solid which shares a world with Pokemon which means Digimon and Pokemon exist in the same multiverse and are probably beings similar to each other in the same way that Appmons are since Pokemon can be stored inside computers and all that jazz.

Best World game by far in my opinion.
I think one of the things I like would be the tamer skills you can get to help raise, collect stuff etc. At the moment I'm raising a Herculeskabuterimon+Rosemon and a lil bit into Chapter 2 and this game is a little bit more challenging. I think that is because the international release has had all the enemy levels increased?

Are there any good websites with obscure Digimon trivia? I feel like I know most of what there is to know about Digimon, I've spent a long time reading lots about all sorts of things in the franchise. But A couple of threads ago an anon posted about Diablomon's early design and that's one thing I had absolutely no idea about.

There's a lot of information on older Digimon games that just plain isn't documented anywhere.

That Diablomon for examble and the fact that Omegamon was originally called Garuru Greymon I bumped into while going through the Digimon games in chronological order.

There's lots of weird oldness I've discovered playing untranslated games that couldn't find anywhere on the internet like Syakomon originally being an Ultimate and Gokimon being the Digimon inside Mechanorimon according to the Sega Saturn game (I think Cockroach-piloted robots are a real life thing...?)

Has anyone played the JP version of Next Order? I'm trying to gauge if it will be any interesting to me. I looked up videos on youtube but the game looks really cheap, for a lack of a better term. I just want opinions from bros who have played it.

Which is why it looks like complete cow pat next to the ps4 version and has less missions.
If you don't care about that then the digimon count is the same as the bonus 12 mons are going to be added to the game.
It also has a ton of bugs such as your digimon nearly freezing when doing care or going to mine or just spazzing out with no way for you to do anything (at all) until they calm their asses down.
It's fun despite this.

It's not very fun to raise digimon due to them increasing the stat caps by 1 digit and not scaling up the evolution requirements accordingly. Your digimon inherits so much stats that they can evolve up to the mega level without any training or battles required. The combat is way too easy even with hard mode on, though I hear they were going to try to fix this in the international version. The areas are large and open and uninteresting to explore. There are more recruitable digimon but all of them are in plain sight and not hidden in hard to find areas or are only found on a specific time of the day. There are also no interesting sidequests related to them like Ogremon and Angemon in world 1, and instead require either performing a simple fetch quest for them, fighting them (this is surprisingly rare) or just plain talking to them.

So all in all wouldn't recommend buying the japanese version. The international version propably won't be much better as they will most likely only attempt to fix the battle difficulty issue.

"Why does my Digimon poop so much? Why is it so huge? Where is all that poo-poo coming from?" you might be wondering!

Well, we know for sure Digimon don't have internal organs and guts the same way a real animal does, so there's no way the Digimon digestive system could be the same as yours.

I'm sure you've noticed your Digimon eats in quantities that outscale its own body weight, and in fact some Digimon even poop several times their body size- how can that even be possible?

Well, when a Digimon performs a special technique, they almost universally create objects, energy, missiles or other ballistics from thin air. Since these techniques materialize from 'somewhere else', we'll refer to that as the Digimon's personal "pocket dimension" for lack of a better term. In many cases, if a Digimon is hungry, it becomes unable to battle or evolve, which makes it apparent some amount of energy must be consumed before it is able to be expelled in the form of a technique, and even for creatures who are seemingly magical, the well of their power isn't bottomless. I'm sure you've seen a Digimon eat a Sirloin twice its size before- that food is sent to their pocket dimension to be converted into energy. And any components of that food that cannot be converted into energy needs to be expelled in the form of junk data, analogous to the way your body picks apart what to keep and what to poop out.

There are of course Digimon who use that junk data to attack with- Digimon like Numemon and Geremon who can produce poop tenfold the size of their body are concrete proof that poop comes from the pocket dimension.
