Gas is good because of how Saryn's spores work. Enemies proc'd with gas status that die with spores on them will transfer over the status proc when the spore spreads. It also makes your 4 hit harder. That being said, the torid in general is pretty bad without a riven mod.

Medium rare is good for me, and the argument for this is that the cut surfaces of the steak are cooked, while the inside of the steak is clean enough to eat because it was inside the animal and it's the preparation surfaces that have the bacteria.

She's still very good, don't let that discourage you from playing her. Absolutely stupid base armor so steel fiber, vital, rage are great and basically allow her to 4 out of any trouble she might get into. All the energy scaling cost really does is make it so that staying in hysteria forever is a non-option. You actually have to turn it off when you don't need it and make sure you don't have enemies in range when you do.

I don't build for super long hysteria usage on mine, but I would imagine with primed flow and max efficiency, you could stay in it for quite a while without having to switch it off. And of course hysteria still absolute fucking wrecks in terms of damage, so there's that.

Volt isn't nidus bruh, you mostly use your 1 and 4 for utility purposes, not damage. Power strength does massively benefit his 2 and to an extent, his 4 if you have the augment for it. If it's any consolation, having an r9 blind rage and r9 transient isn't really a waste of effort. They're extremely useful on plenty of other frames with builds that actually need it for damage and stuff.

I personally don't think she needs that much efficiency, especially if you're a rage+zenurik kinda guy (use primed flow if you decide to venture into negative efficiency territory). I run a mix of duration and efficiency with high power strength (for le epic one shot slide attacks in hysteria). I'm not getting raped on my energy costs with this build, but my build isn't all that great and needs more forma obviously.

And this is why "just melee" is shit. With all the damage in the world, this game isn't condusive to just melee only.

you have to add in: invisibility, invincibility, or damage reduction to such an extent by this point in tandem with melee. And you still have to run over to enemies and smack them, instead of shooting from across the room with previously applied bonuses. Melee is fine DPS now, but it's not enough alone unlike a gun is.
