What class? It basically comes down to having an enemy weakness weapon on stage 10. As braver, it's free. As ranger, I have trouble even though I shouldn't, mostly on stage 9. I can't yet clear stage 10 as fi because I have no partisan or gunslash to use. Haven't tried demolition man, gunner (because it basically mandates that you can't fail stage 8), hunter, fo te or bo.

You don't need an Imperial Pick. Vegas, Hagito and Laplace all die to one Volg even with a Trident Crusher (OT). Ult QD needs 2 (face break > head) and a little bit off finishing off. Both Anga forms also need 2 but the first form isn't a problem and you just have to be a little careful on the second form after your 1st Volg.

Webm shows two Volgs for this Vegas but I missed the JA on the 2nd Slide End, would've one shot otherwise.

Gear doesn't matter in Solo XQ for Fighter. If for some reason you can't double Slide End on the core and instantly kill it, use TDs and TPS Symphonic Drive onto the head and you won't be able to get hit by most of the attacks. A bunch of Backhands on the core also works but it's a lot more risky.

Why? There's nothing that's dangerous there except the Ult QD and 2nd Anga form which you can both take your time for because I don't think Anga spawns until you kill the QD (correct me if I'm wrong). Vegas always does that 3-hit combo attack if you go in for the Slide Ends so you know what's gonna happen every time.

Assuming you have LB5, it will just run out before you even get to the QD. If you don't feel confident in using Partizan for it then use TD or DS.

Have a bit more faith in yourself because not using LB is making things a lot harder than it should be.

Having the run end by taking a bunch of hits from multiple bosses instead of one hit from one boss are basically the same thing. I would much rather only have to deal with one boss.

Play Br/Hu if you want a snoozefest Stage 10 clear because it's not possible for Fighter to have an easy time there unless you one/two shot everything with Partizan or severely outgear the place.

Nowhere am I trying to tell people to pick up a Trident Crusher over a better Partizan, it's just my old Partizan from a long time ago that I was using as an example. The whole reason I was even using a Trident Crusher in the first place was to show a friend that was struggling with almost exactly the same thing that the guy in the thread before was having trouble with.

Of course if you're trying to get the best time and not struggling to clear it in the first place, you're gonna pick up a fucking Sigma. A non-japanese FI or HU isn't ever going to get the best time either because the Volg on Vegas can instantly kill the Laplace as he spawns with good enough ping.

TD's value (with Astra) is from Orchestra > Quick March > Orchestra > 4hit Nocturne and Partizan's is Skewer x2 > Throw without Volg's damage included and without the crazy Volg >Skewer x2 > Buster > Slide End combo which is very hard to pull off before Volg explodes.

So let's put in Volg's damage:
215,610 * 1.56 (precharge Volg + JA) * 1.15 (crit) * 1.16 (potential) = 448,693
Total = 664,303
There we have a 120,754 difference in damage between the two in Sigma's favor which isn't very much considering you now have to swap (takes time) from the Sigma to your TDs, spin once and Quick March which don't do full damage because you aren't at full gear and you've lost Tech Arts.

Let's be generous and assume the weapon swap and TD spin only loses 60F which is one Quick March, you've lost 105k worth of damage with Sigma which TD has done already and Sigma is now only about 16k ahead. Now we have to factor in the non-Tech Arts, non-Gear3 QM that you have to do. The first tick of QM will only have Gear2's bonus 20% damage but the rest of the PA will have full damage. Total damage there is 87k but we have to compare it to TD only damage which is 105k, total loss there is 18k which will put you 2k damage behind what TD could've done without any swapping.

They are basically the same damage but Sigma has used up 81PP when TD can do the same thing while only using 65PP. Not only that but Knuckle in the same situation with PP Convert + Ketos Proi can spam Backhands without actually running out of PP which does way more than what TD can do.

TL;DR It's a damage loss to use Sigma compared to Astra FI weapons unless your Volg kills whatever you're hitting.

The difference in weapon attack between astra and fornis is 10 points, +2% extra damage on the latent, +2% extra innate phrase weak. Gix is the clear winner but obviously I'm a shitter so I can't use it effectively because I rely on automate right now. Also fair point, I have enough hp, but my defense stats are pretty sad due to being whitill units.
