PlayDRM has the entire game encrypted into a single executable if I recall correctly, so there's absolutely no way you can hook it without decrypting said DRM and unpacking the game from said executable first. You basically wasted your money if you can't play without a text-hooker.

Basically if any game has DRM beyond DMM's own authorization one (which decrypts its games so long as you're running them after authorizing them thus allowing you to hook them), don't buy it if you're not fluent enough in Japanese to play them on your own.

Maids is not a modern game, I dunno WTF they did wrong in the rendering department but it's really poorly programmed and optimized for a DX11 game. Better than something like AA2, but AA2 uses an engine that's way over 10 years old and uses DX9 so at least there is that excuse.

With maids I was really disappointed in terms of how modern it was. As in it is not modern at all. The reflections use cave man method too.

CM3D released 2011

CMO released in 2013 and was basically a port to Unity

CM3D2 released in 2015 and is slightly polished CMO with some improvements

Basically they've been doing the same thing for 5+ years. There hasn't really been too muich change to the gameplay or core game when compared to something like AA2 versus Play Club for example, more like a SBPR -> Honey Select progression with maids.

They're printing money as is with all the DLC, so why would they do something "hard" with graphics/animation especially when eroge industry doesn't get the best people?

Best we can hope for is CM3D3 with more improvements in these areas and native VR or something, I think CM3D2 is pretty "done" on the engine level except for more of the same content (daces, clothes, personalities, etc.).

I didn't even count the actual game threads, I counted the # of cores the game was capable of utilizing to any meaningful extent. In all fairness, I should probably have used more strict criteria because a lot of those cores in GTA and TW3 are utilized between 10-20% which is nothing, but what matters is that all those games run at over 60 FPS which CM3D2 does not. (in that one dance scene anyway)
