Okay, so what do you guys think if Grimy Goons cards were more focused on weapon (buffs, creation, cheaper weapons for you and more expensive or penalazied by effects enemy weapons) and handbuff mechanic was slightly changed? Instead of always buffing minions in hand with tokens, Goon minions grant stat buffs to minions with lower Attack than them (training the rookies) and give Taunt or Charge to minions with the same or higher Attack.

Don Han'Cho's battlecry lets you discover one of 6 orders (once for Hand and once for Cho).
Cho's orders:
Crush - Deal damage equal to Don Han'cho's attack
Smash - Deal damage equal to half of Don Han'cho's attack to all enemy minions
Beef Up - Give any minion of your choice in hand +3/+3

Han's orders:
Guard the goods - Give minion of your choice in hand Taunt
Talk to competitors - Give minion of your choice in hand Charge
Smuggle the goods - Give minion of your choice in hand Battlecry: "Discover a Hunter, Paladin or Warrior card."

The game's become even dumber and one of the designers posted recently about how they don't like mill decks and they don't want games to go to fatigue. I'm not going to be hopeful.

Fucking bitch is, realistically, a 0 5/5 or a 2 5/5 at most. Inexcusably overpowered.

They require you to use your hero power which is really mana inefficient and most effects don't have any synergy with your hero power.

This is a reason why Thunderbluff Valiant is so good and used while other are mostly shit except now in Priest thanks to Raza so it's basically free inspire effects. And even then only a select few are played.

The cards already are understated and on top of that they require two additional mana to be used. Most of those cards can't be played on curve because they will most lilely die, so you're not only playing understated minions, but you're playing them 2 turns off the curve making them even worse at that point in the game if they don't have a strong impact.

It's hard to balance well. It's really easy to miss the point and make them either completely shit or a must have. It seems like that was the last time Team 5 gave a shit about balance and was actually cautious about releasing too strong minions so they held them back a bit.

The fact that the whole thing came after Naxx and GvG didn't help at all. Being followed by a expansion that also had objectively better minions just killed the whole expansion and mechanics.

They obviously tried to support it with the Garrison Commander, but it was too little.

Just make it reduce your weapons attack by 2 and gain the reduced amount.
This prevents you from keeping the board clean with your weapon while the fucked keeps hitting like a truck for 3-4 turns with you being unable to do anything about it. The biggest problem with him is that weapons have insane value and he just doubles it early on.

He would make any turn 2 weapon that isnt War Axe deal 0 damage while getting 1-2 damage depending on what you had. So basically he's there to prolong your weapon's life and deal the additional damage without taking charges. But the drawback is that your weapon can't attack and defend him in the process.

The other problem is that the pirate package is too small allowing it to be easily part of midrange or control Shaman who can snowball the shit out of the game if they take early control, which the Pirate package does extremely well.

Aside from quests I really can't bother playing the game. Even casual feels like a drag. Had a quest to play 50 warlock cards and almost all of my opponents where tier 1 decks. Still won all 3 games despite making a zoo with exclusively warlock cards.

Shadow Rager was played in some agressive types of Stealth Rogue but it lost place to Miracle Pirate for obvious reasons

Jade Rogue might be the place to play bounce cards with Jade Spirit, but the whole concept of Jade Rogue is so bad compared to Jade Druid.

In short, Stealth Rogue is too slow for the aggro meta and Jade Rogue is too slow to compete with Jade Druid.

And yeah, Miracle has always had some inconsistency but the main problem was the hero power pass early game which has been more than fixed with the pirates. Miracle is currently favored against every deck except Pirate Warrior and Shaman.

Blizzard printed Patches after all. Entire reason why Warsong was nerfed was too attract more casuals during Blizzcon which would be dominated by Patron combo decks instead of more simple crap.

Alternatively new Goons mechanic could grant minions Charge and Battlecry:"Can't attack heroes this turn" to make it more like Icehowl.
Hunter could get ambush themed cards providing "Immune this turn" buff on top of battlecry for fast answers to early minions.

Dread Corsair is bit bad on rogue since you can't reliably get high weapon attack. You need rely on drawing poison early so corsair would give any tempo.

No, Wild was infinitely better for a while even after MSG. But then some bastards from VS said how Pirate Warrior is great in Wild and mongrels started playing it en mass.

Before the biggest cancer was Secret Paladin, but many decks had a great matchup against it. It was just frustrating to play against and to some people brought back awful memories, but it wasn't really OP if you're not stupid.

I was playing Jade bounce back Rogue when the expansion hit because the meta in Wild was much slower so losing temp to gain Golems was working nicely. But then one day the meta shifted so drastically that it's almost unbelievable. It went from "easy and enjoyable climb to 5 with meme deck" to "pirates everywhere".
