Keep leading him around that one rock formation and hitting him when he rounds the corner. Otherwise, stay close enough to him that he switches to using the Saw Spear. You'll need a Torch or Hand Lantern while in there, so keep one with you. He can heal once, so it's just a war of attrition until one of you makes a mistake.

i use the pizza cutter (req 18 str) on my 50 arc build just because its better for bosses than saw spear and more fun and saif is good for a bolt weapon on an arc build, but none of them will benefit on a 25/50 str/arc build or whatever because the excess str is wasted when theyre converted as they wont do physical damage

I almost got NG+4 Gehrman down to 5% life using only my kos parasite fists and no backstabs before I got cocky and he killed me

if the fists did as much damage as the other weapons they would be a seriously good weapon

Similar to finding the Gravelord Servants in DaS, a boat just appears near the water at Byrgenwerth. It can only be interacted with after finding whatever triggers the DLC. Getting in the boat sets you sailing, landing at a lighthouse on a tiny island in the sea. Another hunter there has a few bits of dialogue, nothing major until a sea beast comes crashing up through the lighthouse. Get fighting.
The rest of the DLC takes place, and boats can be taken into the sea for the random chance of fighting bosses, like the Chalice Dungeons, but bosses only. Gems and upgrade materials still drop.
All removed items, like the Broken Trinket, Library Key, Avolina's Doll (this thing in of itself could be DLC, something about a bastard child with a fondness for spiders), and Dried Clathrus Archeri, are used in some way.
I got these removed items from Fextralife, so take their legitimacy with a grain of salt

A mouldering ruin of a city filled with the inhuman remains of mad beasts and escaped Church experiments. What's the appeal of the LHB? I honestly never used, but half of the people summoning in chalice dungeons seems to use it, followed by around 20% pizza cutter, 10% chikage and 10% HMLS.

Not him, but as someone who does enjoys higher stamina and 2 anti-clockwise runes, there is certainly need for management. Get close to a boss and get a long string of hits and dodges and before it gets to zero you dashed back to safety where you can wait for the bar to fully charge again. If it gets to zero it will take more to recover, and if you don't let it fully recover then you're throwing away your high move string potential and at that point might as well not have invested on it.

Not that a single webm is enough to judge anything if someone is good or not.

What's a good level for co-op spelunking? I want to go 25/25/50 on my HMLS build and if I push vit up to 50 I'll be at level 121. I imagine I'll get downscaled often in general co-op but I can make a different build if I want to focus on that.

I get hits on my level 163 pretty much within 2 minutes of ringing at the SRRC altar. You've got to keep in mind bbg has a very low meta, most places go up to 150, which means you'll hit them at almost 200 for co-op. Plus it lets you use pretty much anything you want at great damage.

Fuck gimping yourself if you're running depth 5 or doing FRC.
