Stable luma build:
1. Download this file https://www.sendspace.com/file/xgdw06
2. Make a new folder in luma called Locales
3. put the text file inside the Locales folder.
Sd should look like this

4. Go into luma and enable "enable region/language emu. and ext. . code" option.
5. press start to save and start dragon quest 8 and you should be good to go.

Nightly/hourly build:

3. Make another folder called 000400000018F200 and put it inside the titles folder.

Freeshop IS this, you just have to link it towards the .bin database. You can also use FBI and scan QR codes and download that way as well for anything that isn't in Freeshop's catalog but is found elsewhere. (DQ8 ATM is a perfect example. They added Wolly World BEFORE DQ8)

If I system transfer a hacked o3DS to a hacked n3DS do I have to "rehack" the o3DS later to still be able to use freeshop and everything on it?

If I were to run out and buy a Vita tomorrow, could I bring it home, hack it, and start pirating all the Vita vidya?

i was making a theme in usagi and when i saved it to test it out on my system, it ended up freezing on the home screen white loading page after installing it in chmm2. now when i boot up my system its just a black screen and nothing else happens. i tried deleting the theme from my themes folder but that didnt do anything. how do i fix this?

Hey hbg, I recently hacked one of my friends N3DSXL, But his SD card got corrupted a couple days after, so all of the data is gone, I only have a backup of the OTP. Guys, freeshop is still freezing when it's loading the game list. Is it still borked from last night (at least 8hours ago) or is it something to do with my 3DS? Cache broke due to a game but it was fixed. For some people, the cache isn't updating to the not broken one.
This should fix it.
1. Delete the freeshop folder from the data folder which is inside the 3ds folder.

2. Open freeshop and scan the qr at https://3ds.titlekeys.com/
3. Press update and it should work.

a9lh is an entrypoint made possible by a fuckup with n3ds, it involves the careful corruption of firm0 that leads the 3ds into loading our payload which is commonly luma that handles the patching and loading of the system. It utilises the OTP to be installed which can only be harvested on 2.x firmware since it was locked out at startup on later revisions, hence the downgrade. n3ds doesn't actually need it and can instead use the hash but due to currently unknown problems has a ~1% failure rate (worked for me) so it's not encouraged.

freeshop is a graphical interface for a database of titlekeys that also scrapes information from the eshop to make it pretty, it pulls games using simple http get requests (as does everything) and forges a ticket to keep the system happy, the system itself has of course been patched to nullify the signature check at each and every startup thanks to luma and by extension a9lh.
The only permanent change to the system is around the firm0 area and a little bit extra to complete the trick.

haxchi will do it no problem providing you tell it to patch the sysmenu and not open homebrew or something like that, it's really a shortcut button that also has the means to do sig check patchs. Consult your config file for more info, if you make changes to it you will need to reinstall haxchi via the homebrew launcher, just reinstall right over it, no problems.
Any 'legit' games with fake ticket dlc will also need sig check patchs to run unless you delete the dlc, it complains otherwise, again it's no big deal.

Online is unaffected, enjoy those mario kart 8 dlc races, i know i do.

Downloaded decrypted 3ds roms (many are retail only, so nonexistant on freeshop in cia form) because hey work in Citra. But now I'm trying to get them converted from .3ds to .cia so that I can actually try them on a 3DS CFW.

Rxtools generates xorpads from the nccinfo file made by the PC 3ds>cia tool, but then trying to use that xorpad file gives an incorrect xorpad error.

Decrypt9 fails at generating the xorpads. In the final check it throws an error.

Latest Decrypt9 with "Content Decryption>CIA Build from NCCH" and the 3ds file under the folder with D9 in its name... actually generates the cia file successfully.
But when I try installing it in FBI (on Luma+A9LH, no errors with other cia files) it shows without the banner icon, and near the very end of the installation, it throws this error:

so i downloaded the loadiine zip from github and the guide says "(Optional) Download the latest version of Loadiine. Extract the 'wiiu' folder into the root of your SD card." but there's no wiiu folder in the zip, so do i just create a loadiine folder in apps?
