Not to start shit in this thread, but the best way to put the differences outside of the better performance and textures, the other differences are Switch has full RGB meaning its less washed out, and less faked lighting. Still its early days so its hard to tell what can and cant be done especially if we as just looking are ports or auto optimization in UE4.
I'd say that you could be cautiously optimistic about how it performs as long as devs don't fuck up or if they don't go full babby mode like the respawn devs

I don't think that's really unpopular. Hell, Runners actually gave them some surprisingly decent characterization, which is fucking shocking to me considering it's a goddamn mobile game. Also, the idea of a lost planet is genuinely cool and you could do some cool lore shit with it. They certainly have better alien designs than the Black Arms. I hated them at first, but they do a great job at looking both cartoony and "alien"

I think that if there's going to be a spin-off or licensed product based on Sonic, it shouldn't have to feel like it should have the same tone as the game, because then why bother having that when I can just play the main games instead? Yes this means that at its worse you can Dark Ages soap opera drama, but that was due to the shitty writing and editorial staff at the time. Let the comic have romance drama and weird conspiracies and everyone has an extended family and all that shit. Let Big Red Button go nuts in their redesign of Sonic. Who gives a shit. The more different it is, the more interesting it potentially could be. Making everything like the games just makes everything boring and stale, which defeats the purpose of their existence in the first place. The problem with this is if you apply one set of rules to the game characters like Sonic, and another set of rules to everyone else, then the game characters will always be more boring simply because there's less you can do with them. The only way to mitigate this is to make the non-game characters just as limited as the game characters, but that still does nothing but limit the creative staff.

The highs of the pre-reboot Ian run were built on the festering shitpile of the Dark Ages. I'd rather have something with the potential to be both amazing and putrid instead of something that will simply play it safe and be boring as a result.

The Chao Garden is fucking horrible and boring as sin. Getting the Chao emblems in SA2 was torture and the most irritated I've ever been with a Sonic game.

Sonic Colors has the best story and writing of the 3D Sonics. Lost World wasn't bad either.

Jason Griffith went from being a godawful voice actor to being just tolerable. Even in Unleashed and Black Knight he still wasn't very good. Ryan and Roger are both much, MUCH better.

That being said, I loved Black Knight. It fixed almost everything about Secret Rings and was a great game overall.

The current characterization of Dr. Eggman is perfect. Everyone complaining that he needs to be more "serious" is missing the point of his character.

Blaze the Cat is one of the most boring and uninteresting characters in the franchise.

SA2 voices are all superior to their current ones, except Tails

Boom isn't godawful, but it is way overrated. It has 1-2 good jokes per episode usually. Would not mind at all if everything Boom disappeared forever. Even Sticks.

Boost and 2.5D gameplay is a boring copout. Adventure was gameplay was best, it just needed to be refined. It had high speed gameplay, but required more skill and level knowledge to do it. Also allowed for more exploration and alternate paths.

There is literally nothing wrong with being a Classicfag. Classic Sonic deserves to be in the Anniversary game, like with Generations. That said, I'm not happy that he's taking up StH issues when he already has Megadrive.

The FFs and comics deserve some sort of acknowledge. They've been around longer than many game characters. Maybe a collection of comic covers like in Mega Collection, DLC voicepacks, anything.

The plotline "Sonic and friends find Eggman and destroy his shit" is super uninspired and unimaginative. It got old really quick for me in Megadrive and StH. I can't understand how people want ONLY that and nothing else.

Unleashed is the best game in the 'Boost' era simply because it succeeded in being an original Sonic title that wasn't obnoxious like Colors or nostalgia-oriented like Generations oh, and the Werehog isn't inherently garbage as everyone claims, it's just an okay concept intruding on a much better concept in its own game.

Speaking of Boost, we need to go back to that gameplay style and alter it to balance its usage. My biggest problem with Boost was that it was necessary to complete the level instead of a reward for doing well without it, and there are many ways we could fix that, but the level design and trick system was 10 times better than Lost World ever hoped to be and it's a damn shame they tossed it out.

Besides Tails, Knuckles, and Amy in Sonic Boom, the rest of the current VAs are directed extremely poorly and I really wish they'd improve or hire new ones within the next couple years ESPECIALLY Sonic and Shadow, they aren't even fucking trying.

I also agree with >>166167464 that the FFs need to be in something besides the comics for fucks sake. This mentality that they're never allowed in anything else is retarded because they're no different than "The Boys" or "Mighty and Ray" and they've appeared several times in games and other Sonic media.

Finally, nothing from Adventure 1 or 2 (gameplay-wise) should ever be repeated again. I don't have enough room in this post to explain why.

While I have nothing against stories being simple, my problem with something like that is mostly because nothing interesting has happened. I mean, Sonic Rush Adventure, Sonic Runners, Megadrive comic have simple plotlines, but I enjoy them and found them interesting and fun.

I would say it depends on what their trying to do. if linearity and pacing is the focus then it's best to keep it simple.

if they want to build a world, build tension then it would be nice to have a more complex story.

Try Sonic Labyrinth, there's no stupid 'plot' like in Sonic Colours, SA1, SA2, Sonic Generations or any other Sonic Game. No boosting like in like EVERY Sonic 3D game there is. Post reboot > Pre reboot. I know a lot of people here loved the "Golden Age," & I do admit it had some awesome moments, but there was way too much baggage, there was still a lot of uninteresting or just plain shit characters, etc. The reboot has had better OCs, more entertaining stories (Champions, the recent Chaotix arc, Shattered was fun, etc.), & game characters like Amy & Knuckles are done much better than they were in the pre-252 comics.

The Werehog was not awful, although it's not something I'd care to see return.

If SEGA starts giving a shit about characters outside of Sonic & Eggman in the games, I'd like to see Sticks join the games.

The current voices (outside of Shadow) are all good. But Amy needs to stick with the Boom voice.

Sorry for being slow. There aren't any limitations as such, if it's a complex build with too many overhangs I can split the file up - but my printer's actually pretty good with how it handles overhangs and whatnot, so a pose like that should be fine.

ABS is $25 for a spool, depending on how large the figurines are and what infill I print at I could get two or three to a spool. But I'd need to finish the fucking head first.

As a continuity fag, Sonic 06 basically never happened. That mean that the bad future, Crisis City, gets straight up erased, like the bad futures in Sonic CD. Generations was an excuse to bring back levels for the anniversary, sure, but the plot was Eggman screws with the timeline somehow, therefore all those levels show up in white space, outside of time and space, meaning it's no longer part of the timeline. Crisis City was already erased, so of course it shows up here. It's also why the Metal Sonic fight is in the Bad future of Stardust Speedway, because the Sonic Bible says "the good ending is canon."
