Kronos 2 is bleeding players quickly due to more popular streamers getting suckered into the "Nostalrius is returning, hosted by Valkyrie!" meme. Thus, they have all the pop.
Events fell out where Viper of the old Nost staff got cucked by Blizz into begging Valkyrie for their shit back, and coincidentally canceled token use for account recovery wayyyyy early.
Valkyrie staff said "fuck it. we have 30k peeps interested in our shitty server, even if only a few hundred actually got their accounts back? Let's roll."

The staff members on old Nostalrius that were being paid off by the Chinese websites & farmers are looking to do business again, only under the guise of Valkyrie. Kronos is at least open about how they want to make a profit but the Chinks sank their ship with this smooth deal. There's no recovering from it.

Crestfall will launch, but will only stay successful if people throw money at the guy running it. He's threatened to pull the plug the moment he has to spend any of his own money. An honest warning by his part, but leads to potential bullshit money grabbing / financial investigations by Blizzard. And then he's long gone.

Hellground's popping back up but x2 exp and funserver elements are returning. Anon, this is the darkest of times for private servers.

i didn't get to play long before the shut down, but what i ment was that the Nost team is what made it good, they were fairly good toward the community with keeping the game from being to shit and communicating problems and such.

I walk to the side of an enemy 3 levels below me with 5/5 ranks master of deception and he spots me from about 6-7 yards away. He doesn't look in my direction just straight up b-lines for me.
That is not right. And while its not THAT bad and can be worked around (if you are combat spec you hardly stealth at all anyways)it is frustrating as fuck.

Vanish is fucked when you vanish close to mob spawn, it instantly aggroes you again.
All the other instances where you get fucked out of vanish by in-flight projectiles or just client lag are ok, but this is just bullshit.
Vanish's improved stealth was basically undetectable, you could almost walk through the mobs with it.

This LITERALLY means that the 11k bug reports on the bug tracker are evidence that the server is NOT "working fine".

I am in no way advocating that you should play retail for its lack of technical issues. Anyone who says retail does not have massive glaring issues is lying to themselves or is just unaware.

Elysium needs fixing not defending. Unless all the posts under the Bugtracker are just a bunch of filthy retail shills using Elysium's own system to delegitimize their server and push people over to playing retail.

Stealth (and Prowl) is bugged on any stock mang0s or Trinity Core server. The rank 1 of rogue stealth is complete garbage and mobs see through it far more easily than should be possible.
Druids get prowl 1 as a level 20 cat which is the equivalent to stealth rank 2. On a stock server, the fucked math for detection starts to become more realistic and stealth / prowl is very useful on targets from BEHIND.
Later ranks of stealth / prowl increase the chance of not being detected much HIGHER than what is possible on retail, even when a target is facing you. Also, stock servers do have the modifications from gear / cloak enchant / night elf racial working properly to adjust stealth, but it's a modifier to the base chance. This means low level stealth / prowl doesn't get much from it, but endgame ranks see a HUGE increase from even one rank of MoD, the cat stealth talent, and/or night elf racial or gear. It's a big deal.

Kronos bothered to put in REAL math for it to work like retail, inclusive of the 3 step heartbeat check for detection and the "huh"? mob turn, next detection check based on facing and distance, and final 20 second duration of increased awareness if you approach again.

Valkyrie & Nostalrius never had the shit working right, like ever. But it's not a huge deal as you can face tank whatever until the higher ranks of stealth / prowl at which point the bug is actually a BIG deal in your favor for both PvP and PvE.
