Extella and FGO kinda fuck it up in some ways. Now she's considered a great ruler whom was merely defamed by jealous upper class Romans at the time since she was too beloved. Now she's a beloved and great emperor the entire time, a legendary leader. Romulus and all the Roman characters exist to say she's the greatest. All her generals say she's great, Arthuria says she's good for a Roman emperor, All Roman characters in FGO exist to just say she's great Hakuno keeps saying she's great, all exist to say she's a truly great leader. The game has to keep saying she was the best all along and she wasn't fallible, in fact she's a super leader. Best Roman emperor to ever exist? I guess that's what's happening.

I don't know which parts of this are hyperbole anymore, but fuck if a lot of it doesn't still have some truth to it with how much they keep saying she's great. They killed the fallible angle that actually worked here, and made her kind of infuriating.

Tamamo used the Regalia to create the shadow clone and give herself Presence Concealment.

They both basically only won due to having the Regalia. And Nero spent several encounters with Altera learning how to fight her on top of that.

We don't see Tamamo working for her victory nearly as much as Nero struggles just to have one single good exchange of swordplay with Altera. Tamamo was basically gifted with everything she needed to beat Altera from the get go, and the entire plotline of "holy fuck Altera is kicking our shit in my capital has fallen and Lu Bu ran off to die fighting, everyone spend the night doing whatever you wish this is soooo desperate" loses all of its meaning when literally every character on Tamamo's side, including Lu Bu, survives the final battle

Tamamo even scores with Hakuno while Nero never had the chance to and gets a literally perfect happy ending with zero downsides while Nero gets completely cucked out of her Master's love
