I used Gladius, and I maxed my Shiki with only two failed runs and never had to reset the captain swap.

Enel/Enel/Gladius/Lucci/Mihawk/Doflamingo.

Gilly would work. Capone or Doma are options but they wouldn't be reliable. You need a reliable fourth orb in addition to the three spawned by Lucci. Raid ivankov may work.

Raid Kizaru would be ideal if you're on Jp and don't have Gladius.

Thatch isn't a bad option either if you can do enough damage on the burst turn to not worry about dealing damage on the captain swap turn. Gladius allows this thanks to his HP cut, which is why mihawk/doffy becoming captain never phased me. I dunno what it'd be like to do it without the cut but I sometimes hit multiple greats while bursting so there's definitely wiggle room.

Man Inthawk is so fucking average, probably the most overrated Unit in the whole game. Average captain ability, his ultimate is way to situational, he doesn't even have a secondary type, why the fuck is he only a Slasher. If he would be Driven or Celebral his usage would rise.

Good stats alone don't make an Unit good (Arlong), and Slasher in general are one of the weakest types aimed at beginners. No Mihawk or Zoro Legend changed that.

I mean all things considered, Mihawk's special is effectively a 1.5x ATK boost that stacks with class/type boosts, orb boosts, AND conditional boosts. That's absolutely fucking mental.

The caveat is that the damage bonus requires you survive a turn to use it. That's a pretty damning caveat, but he still has one of the best specials in the game.

The problem is mostly that legends which don't boost HP are falling out of fashion as captains unless they offer a massive ATK boost like Akainu/TS Luffy, or are crazy versatile like Kizaru and LL.

Complaining about any legend that isn't Boa, Sabo, or Lucci is the dumbest shit this general does.

Only SW Ace and Fuji are problematic.
BB have a really strong drawback and only get a 2.75 atk boost.
Zoro needs 5 slashers to get damage, and don't really have the luxury to wait, he have to burst the moment he enters the boss stage.
Jinbei only have a 2.75 boost and a hp treshold type boost.

SW Ace and Fuji get a massive hp pool, Damage when it matters, doesn't struggle in early stage because they still have a decent base multiplier, and fucking Fuji get the matching orb thing. They litteraly have no weakness.

Blackbeard will grow in power over time as more units are released and he gains more and more configurations that meet his CA requirements while still having a appropriate timing/boosters.

I feel like he has one of the best captain abilities for scaling alongside power creep. Universal captains like Kizaru and LL do too, of course. And any legend can become overpowered if the right sub is released for them. But I do feel like Blackbeard is one of the more future proof legends even if his current clear rate isn't amazing.

Because for some reason he severely limits himself, and his multiplier relies on a bit of luck until you can pop his special. And Sanji has a slightly weaker CA but can make up for it by healing and has a reliable burst.
These people don't realize how bad some of the other legends are, so he gets pegged down. At least he can even be a sub though, and his max CD is fantastic.

It's literally minmaxing autists. Point me to a single piece of content where the convenience of having a slightly higher chance for matching orbs is trumped by defense sockets being required for a coliseum boss or raid. Proper autoheal and stalling should erase the need for it entirely.

It's stupid. Setting up sub units for DR also neuters any flexibility they had otherwise on the set team you think you're gonna keep for this game's timespan.

Weren't sockets created to counter bind and Despair? It would be nice if they would replace the sockets no one uses, as well as adressing the tandem problem at some point . That way all sockets seem useful for specific teams, as they intended originally.
