Ever since opting in to the Tropical Beach beta the game has been crashing my pc. This crashing also occured when I reverted back to the non-beta version. The crashing still continues now, when Tropical Beach launched. The crashing can occur at any moment: the first 10 seconds in the menu or 30 minutes in a game. I've tried:
-Deleting Killing floor 2 in my documents
-checking cache
-Removing and installing KF2 again
-Updating, removing and reinstalling graphic card drivers
-Checking other (online) games. No problems whatsoever
-Checking temperatures. All stable, no problems.

On another note, what loadout are you going to use for Sharpshooter? I'm going to keep using Markman, Ballistic Shock, Always Prepared with the M14 and dual .500s.
With the still working headshot damage for .500s it can still decap FPs under freeze without any other bonuses.
Marksman + Ballistic Shock for insta stunning SCs with the M14, and always prepared for the extra FP grenade, and the extra 30 M14 ammo wasted on not taking damage skills.

What do you think about that armor skill now? Without it it's 150 armor that lasts until you take about 225 damage splitting it between health and armor, and with it it takes 230 damage by itself leaving you with 100% health.
Even if it was all chip damage and you had constant heals it'd be better than not having it as it'd last for 5 more damage, and obviously in a burst damage situation it's much better and gets rid of health runspeed issues.
So it's no longer in the detrimental category, the only question is is it better than zoot scooting while crouched/ADS.

Adding a decrease is definitely the way to go, but 35% might need some adjustment one way or the other.

Head shots are different in this game.
Instead of being a massive damage modifier, it's a small one, +10%. The catch is that there's two health values: a smaller head health value, and a much larger body health value. Damage to the head also damages the body.
This means if you shoot the head a little, then spam the body with shots it's about the same as shooting the body the whole time. However if you shoot the head just a little bit more then you would have decapitated it.
The game basically flows around this, and exact damage thresholds to decap things, or kill them with body shots.
Commando can decap many trash zeds with one shot. Sharpshooter has various combos to decap big zeds. SWAT can flashbang a Scrake and kill him with Kriss headshots.
Eventually you learn how to deal with everything, and if your perk is good at dealing with something or not.

Not him, but if you haven't gotten used to dual wielding the .500's, you can always go winchester and M14 for trash and a single .500 for big guys. Then again I'm 25 and have the perks unlocked so it might not be viable at a lower level.

Both the Trench and Med Shotty work pretty well, I like the Med shotty because I can do some light healing and it uses magazines instead of having to load each shell. It's up to you really, as long as you keep the DBS and AA-12.

Sharp is pretty good. Dual 500 still work with most of the bonus and decap FP under a freeze nade. Or you can run Railgun /500 which allows you to clear trash quite well while destroying big zeds. Lately I've been running Rail/500 with offperk Deagle cuz I hate to reload single 500. Offperk Deagle oneshots most trash and 2shotsmost of the medium zeds.
Commando is great with Med AR.
Not sure about Firebug.

Use M79 for clearing out groups of trash.
RPG-7 is the best weapon for general anti-FP work.
Hitting a Scrake's head with a rocket, detonated or not, can kill him in one or two hits, depending on the difficulty. If you're level 25 and have the damage boost skill, you can take them out with rockets anywhere in the body if someone else has distracted them.
RPG-7 can also blow away Bloats with one shot if you need to clear them out.
C4 is best for throwing all of them, then punching enemies to death with the melee.
HX25 is a good personal defense weapon.
The M16's M203 has a smaller explosive radius than the M79's grenades do.
Stick behind the team. You need distance between you and enemies because you usually wont have a good CQC weapon.
If a Crawler or Stalker gets too close and you dont have an HX25 or automatic gun, you can jump and fire an M79 grenade behind the critter to kill him or her.
Demo is great for boss rounds. Use RPG-7 for the boss and an SMG, like the MP5, to deal with the trash bosses spawn.

In most cases I've found that the grenade isn't useful if you don't have the fast reload animation. In that case it's better to hit the FP in the chest, then lure him to hit someone else so you can launch rockets at him worry-free.

While none of those things (other than Rack 'em Up) work for dual .500s it still has all the tools to kill everything.
Marksman M14 with shock is a super easy kill on SCs, you shoot so fast that the stun is near instant.
Always Prepared gives you that extra grenade for one additional FP. With just normal headshot damage, and ReU the dual .500s don't need any other damage to decap.
Then the extra 30 rounds in your M14 from Always Prepared helps you deal with trash.

Heavy armor training or regular armor, you generally stay alive either way. It's when you're unarmored that a real risk of death comes. Being unarmored happens sooner when all the damage goes to your armor instead of some going to your health and being easily fixed with light healing.
And if you're good enough to survive either way, you save money by holding on to more armor with regular armor.

Dual 500 Magnum Revolver on Sharpshooter benefits from 25% bonus headshot damage, Sniper 25% stationary damage, Rack-Em-Up, Dead Eye 10% iron sight damage/recoil reduction, Zed Time Assassin 35% damage.
Maskman, Stability, Tactical Reload, Always Prepared do not work with dual 500 Magnum Sharp.
You can go M14 + EBR with Maskman, Ballistic Shock, Rack-Em-Up, Always Prepared. Maskman, and Prepared do not work with dual 500 but it helps you take down Scrake with M14 stun and give you 30 bonus M14 ammo/1 more Freeze Nade.
Or you could go Sniper, Shock, Rack-Em-Up, Dead Eye. Achieve the same thing but 1 less freeze nade

SWATs can kill scrakes solo with their flashbangs and also do serious damage to fleshpounds, although it does require some serious aiming.
Bloats are tanky as fuck and can easily take tons of hits to the head.
2+ headshots to kill trash adds up fast when lots of other perks can do it with a bodyshot (gunslingers and sharpshooters especially, they can kill everything weaker than a gorefast with a deagle/LAR/M14 bodyshot) or don't even really headshot to begin with (firebug, demolitions.)
So unless the SWAT on your team is garbage and can't aim, it's only natural he gets the most headshots because of how headshots are calculated in this game. Simply hitting a zed in the head is a headshot, regardless of if it kills them or not.
For this reason it's not too unusual to see supports with the most headshots either, because every individual pellet that hits the head counts as a headshot.

There's no point. I thought they'd nerf the Eviscerator to make the Bone Crusher viable, like how they did with the MP7 and MP5, but they didn't.
So now you have a weapon that, even assuming it was on par with the Eviscerator in stats and ability to kill big zeds, is worse for several reasons.

I like to use it when I'm tanking boss damage as berserker, cause it can block more damage types than the pulveriser, pulv blocks bludgeon & slashing, bone crusher blocks those and fireballs, husk flamethrower, hans' minigun and patriarch's rockets & minigun.
Blocking gunfire with the shield is a little finicky though, sometimes you'll block it and sometimes you won't. Though I found out moving the shield a little towards the left will block it if it doesn't straight away.
That's just my opinion on the shield, the mace is hot garbage as an offensive weapon.

That's plenty considering the fact that a full server (by default of course) is only 6 people.
You can change it to be higher but those servers are generally a shitfest.
Versus Survival requires 12 people but is completely dead for other reasons. It's shit anyway.
Even assuming only 2/3rds of those 5,000 players are actually playing the game and not idling in the menu, playing offline, or in a private server, that's still 550 completely filled servers assuming they're playing Survival.
It's not MMO numbers, but Killing Floor has always been a niche title with a cult audience.

That's been more or less entirely fixed. The game isn't entirely complete still but they're working on new content for the game.
All we really need for the game to feel truly complete is one more boss (which has been promised), maybe a new perk or two (as long as it isn't another Survivalist I'd be fine with whatever it is), more maps, and at least 1-2 more weapons perk perk except for Berserker who has plenty as is.
2 bosses, 4 weapons per perk minimum (there's more with crossperk weapons and actual new weapons), 12 maps if I don't remember wrong, and 10 perks with satisfying gameplay is definitely worth playing the game for now.
All Tripwire has to do at this point is not massively fuck up the game.

Eventually once you get good at the game, even on the highest difficulty you don't "need" any perks. If everyone just picks garbage perks and isn't doing their job you can't really do much about it.
Berserker is the best across all difficulties and can solo-carry almost anything except 3+ Fleshpounds at once even when the whole team is dead. Medic is nice to have but with crossperk weapons giving people more ways to heal teammates it's not really required anymore. And even if you play Medic to help your team, it still won't do much if the core issue is that your team sucks cock.
So basically the only "required" perk is Berserker just so you can do the job if everyone else on your team is shit.

Can't go wrong with starting with either Support or Commando. Both of them are easy to play, and do relatively well when it comes to taking out trash and doing high damage to big zeds. Support is also very helpful as it gives your teammates ammo.
Medic is nice, but not really that essential unless you're playing HoE, or fighting bosses on Suicidal. I think I did something like this:

No, because then getting level 25 in all perks would break the game to a ridiculous degree and make any difficulty unplayable.

Play whatever you find enjoyable. You don't really NEED a perk for higher difficulties, but having several 25's doesn't hurt so you can have some variety and you're not stuck with one choice if someone else picked that same perk before you did.

It IS possible to kite him and never take a hit, but it's extremely difficult and relies on you playing a fast perk, never getting stopped or blocked by another zed, and there being doors, corners, and cliffs between you and him. You need to leverage every bit of speed you can to slow him down, but really it's not worth it since he blocks his chest with his gauntlets and will take a miniscule amount of damage if you can't reliably hit his feet or head. You're better off just taking out your knife (if not playing Berserker) and blocking the hit to reduce damage and get its rage to wear off. Don't parry, the knife does nothing when parrying Fleshpounds because it doesn't meet the parry threshold.

I usually find the good maps to have a lot of variety within them yet still having a good overall theme that connects them. For example, a good map will have no rooms that look the same, and will have different terrain heights and overall distinguished areas; yet everything is connected in some way (all while being fun of course and having a good flow in gemplay).

I didn't put it in top tier because it isn't that big and so doesn't have that much replay value. But its above average because it's unique and has a very realistic atmosphere; the mere thought of being in a farm in the dark is scary as shit to me. It's also fun to play, I usually try to hold that area right above the stairs, with the escape plan being jumping off the porch; it's also a good idea to have a berserker running outside to distract some zeds.

Yes I see your point. But for being a "hole up in an area" type map, I think it actually works out decently. There are other maps that are big, yet people still like to use this tactic, making the map boring and repetitive with slow gameplay; in Farmhouse I at least find it fun to hold the second floor or sometimes even the farm. Just my opinion though.
I also like holding these areas because the thought of being out in a farm while its dark scares me on a personal level; but again, having a huge open area between say the house and the farmhouse would make it a lot more scary and interesting.

Most of the time you can just load a singleplayer map, nade your feet and get your loot but sometimes you need to clock 30 minutes for the day and THEN explode your knees.
Beating a map has nothing to do with this, if you don't get a crate as you boot the game and kill yourself and kill the boss before 30 minutes in the session you'll still get nothing before said 30 minutes.

Using the M79 early on as a survivalist is decent. You won't be making the giant multikills you would be as a Demo, but you can clear out groups of Crawlers or Stalkers easily enough with the M79 to get some decent dosh.

Basically, the perk you are using gets priority, but if valid the secondary experience goes to the perk the weapon is assigned to. So if your Trenchgun kills shit as a Support, you will earn Support XP as if you used a normal shotgun, but will also get the small amounts of Firebug XP from killing Crawlers and Bloats.

depends on how much money you can make in the first couple rounds(this is assuming a 10 round game), if you can make a lot at once then it's probably better to go for Flamethrower first, if you get less than it might be better to go shotgun instead
also I'm of the opinion that the MWG is something to use only on Boss rounds, even with it's buffs it's kinda underwhelming to use on normal enemies(feel this is the case with the Railgun and Eviscerator as well)

Stick to the caulk until you get the thrower, then if you still have some fuel in caulk, burn it off in the next wave and sell it once empty. You can easily get the thrower by wave 3 depending how much money you fly to the medic first.
Trenchgun comes later and as a luxury, you should do more AoE in close quarters than sniping small packs of enemies

Sharpshooter was fairly easy until the gorefiends got added. They take way too many headshots to kill with the m14 or deagle. Combo them with alpha clots, and you really do need really good accuracy to not get swarmed and die when there are multiple (or else you lose too many cryo nades to deal with FPs).

Heh, that's exactly that I did in KF1. In KF2, I used to just use SCAR-H as my only main weapon, the Boomstick for Scrakes, and the 9mm Pistol for if I somehow ran out of ammo with the SCAR-H, but I think I'll start using the Medic Assault Rifle since the latest update as my panic button weapon.

Medic SMG is still a little weaker than the MP7 and costs as much as the MP5. Other than large ammo reserves for the automatics, what this basically means is that these perks don't really need to carry around medic pistols. Field medics still get faster recharge and all the other fun stuff that keeps your team alive.

They go around racking up trash kills effortlessly
Problem being they are ONLY good against trash. So they act like a money vacuum that uses their $$$ from killing garbage zeds to...kill more garbage zeds, and then die to a fleshpound.
They are one of the few perks that can be an active determent to the team. SWAT does more or less the same thing (Kills garbage) but doesn't fuck his team six ways from Sunday for doing so and can hold his own against bigger baddies.

Basically. You can use certain weapons and your perk's bonsues will apply to them when they didn't before. If you kill an enemy with that weapon, you'll get XP for the class you're currently using.

The most recent update is neat and makes most perks more interesting. I like running circles around the volcano island and my typical purchases have changed. Not much else to ask for.

As Commando, the biggest obstacle for me is damaging big enemies and large groups of head bobbing trash at different heights. Being able to carry over a dozen of those grenades really makes a difference in contributing good burst damage and aoe. It's a nice secondary.
