The first link has a full alphabet, but guessed the symbol for Q. Both use the same symbol for J, which I don't THINK has been confirmed yet but the used symbol looks a lot like it.

Cool this may confirm what I suspected about that "History of the royal family" line. Since it mentions that Ganon is something that plagues the Royal Family of Hyrule time and time again I would assume that it takes place in the downfall timeline since that's the only timeline where we see Ganon attacks Hyrule 5 times. Plus it's the only timeline where the master sword is in the woods instead of being in Ganon's head or in the Temple of Time. Also the hairstyle for BOTW Link matches early art for the first few games (notice the bangs and sideburns).

Aonuma says Switch was created with Zelda in mind.
If it wasn't for the Switch, we would have played this game last year already.

This only says that no one should expect this piece to fit somewhere before OoT.

It kind of rules out Adult timeline, but it's not discriminating between Child and Downfall. Both have several instances of Ganon. Both have the master sword in secluded places. I'd like to say that there's a stronger case for Downfall, but I still give Child the benefit of the doubt. The last two games were for Downfall.

In the end it doesn't matter much. They will still converge timelines. It's just a debate about where shit happens.

The idea of a timeline that was never intended to exist is dumb. Discussions about Zelda's timeline are old as fuck, they existed even before OoT was created. There are interviews where Miyamoto used to answer about the timeline (or order) of the games. Of course his claims don't matter anymore after WW and Hyrule Historia but that makes you understand that, yes, timelines in Zelda are a thing since a long time.

Sounds like damage control and "complex" doesn't always make a character fun or likable and of course Aonuma is going to want to make the writing sound good if he wants you to buy it, but I'll be happy if I'm wrong and she's actually great despite all appearances. When /lozg/ was revived, I was glad and happy enough that I could have peaceful discussions about one of franchises I like to play, but at the same time, I like posting artwork and fanart. I was sure I could do my best and try to participate and contribute to discussions while posting stuff I like. Though, with some posts I have read here, I guess I didn't go well with some people, and instead, I was trying to degrade the quality of our general, especially when I was one of them who missed /lozg/.
