Dragon is full of memes and Rune is hated by everyone on /svg/ for being "no fun allowed: the class". Choose what you like the most. I will say that Dragon decks tend to be more expensive because you normally need 3 Forte on every single deck. Rune has also a Tier 1 deck currently, while Dragon failed to be relevant since the game's release, but Dragon decks tend to be more fun.

Been tinkering with face dragon a bit because I'm a bored man that doesn't know when to quit and I've been trying this shit out after seeing the work Lyrial does in Aggro Shadow, another hipster aggro deck, and came up with these, feel free to shit on them, I know stuff like Imprisoned and Lyrial are questionable choices but it's the best I could come up with with the current card pool.

So why is pixie paradise not used? It seems like a solid card, keeps your hand and board full. Only downside seems to be that it takes up board space.

They run Dance of Deaths and some of them run that card that lets them bounce something back on both sides of the board.

Plus Roach isn't an actual aggro deck. If you're stalling with wards you aren't achieving anything. Roach only gets stronger the longer the game goes because you can never have more than 20 hp, but their damage output only goes up. It is a OTK deck, but it can easily finish you off earlier if the conditions are right. All the wards are doing is forcing it to do its main game plan. You haven't achieved anything.

Also cards like Ancient Elf laugh at all the wards with underperfoming stats. If they ever feel the need to, they can throw down Ancient Elf and evolve it into some 8/9 that shreds through your wards and forces you to spend PP on removal, which then seals your fate.

My friend told me the same thing about my pulls. I got insanely lucky with packs apparently. I rerolled for about 2 hours and I got a roll with 10 legendaries (I don't remember which of those though). I also had Beast Dominator and Mithrill Golem but I vialed them.

I have no clue how a balancing team with a strong MTG background OK'd the Spellboost Follower mechanic in RoB. It's like they took the Affinity archetype and decided that shitting out a hand wasn't good enough so they added a legendary that refills your hand AND boosts it

The easy comparison is affinity, I know when I first started I kind of thought of it called as Spellboost Affinity, but it actually doesn't really play like affinity. Cost reduction is risky but splashy and fun to play, especially synergy centric ones like spellboost for cost reduction kind of is and moreso for the spellboosting followers which are synergy cards through and through. I think they decided that it was probably worth letting it have a run. It's a lot easier to fix this kind of thing in a computer game.

I don't mind how it turned out, since the signature oppressively broken play of that deck doesn't involve spellboost at all, but I absolutely hate the idea of it. You should be able to clearly understand what options your opponent could possibly have available to them on a given turn given their mana and cards in hand, and derive gameplay from the mindgames surrounding that set of plays/counterplays. Having cards whose mana cost can hugely vary based on the exact draw order and exact play order of previous turns adds a needless layer of complexity to the game and makes people fall back on heuristics like "uhh go face" "uhh cover your face" instead of being able to cleanly match wits.

Clarke is a bit more iffy, especially considering how he can have a net cost of -5 or even more if he spellboosts a large portion of your hand.

Oglers are statted the same way as Emmies, that being the vanilla stats +1pp cost, which in my opinion should be bumped up to +2 or +3.
Blade mages are +3 and they still see good use in the deck.

I don't know what kind of dirts you see on a regular basis, but let me tell you, I've seen Daria in all of one of them, and it wasn't an dirt deck so much as it was Pascale turbo. The only deviations from a standard Daria deck were Commence Experiment and Dwarf Alchemist.

Standard dirt is almost lways sitting on a massive hand post turn 5 and isn't running dry until turn 20 unless they've just been drawing ass.

Why is Ancient Elf actually a problem, though? Why is Albertcraft a problem? Why is Fortecraft a problem? Why was Cerberus being in every deck (pre-nep era) a problem? Staples are not a problem. Cards that distort the meta are a problem. And the cards doing that now, much more than daria, are levi and piercing.
When they nerfed PTP elf, they didn't go after AE/AF/PTP/R, they went after homecoming. Because the kinds of situations homecoming forced players to deal with were "uniquely frustrating, and not in the fun, challenging kind of way". The same is true now of levi+piercing. Having to deal with a unusual amount of card advantage on turns 5/6/7 is not the same as being completely forced off the board on turn 4.

Literally the Paladin of Shadowverse. Identity is scrambled all over the place and then they pushed a meme mechanic without giving players enough reason to actually go for it.

In a high power game like Shadowverse, they are actually trying to get you to play a do-nothing amulet that doesn't even affect the board state unlike Elana's Prayer. The only card that rewards you for being discarded is a 2/1 that is otherwise completely unplayable.

There definitely needed to be some type of Guerilla Tactics card that rewards you for successfully discarded it. Something like:

2PP deal two damage to an enemy minion. When this card is discarded, deal two damage to a random enemy minion.

against decks that aren't specifically piercing rune, shitting out 2/2s is pretty good
T2 spartoi, T3 skeleton fighter mummy, T4 whatever you feel like - that was the original opener that went as wide as aggro bats currently does in order to set up T5 evo face T6 evo face burn ggez regardless of attempted opponent counterplay. And obviously not all openers are like that, but that's the baseline from which other openers diverge, and you lose less power when you diverge like that because your cards are inherently heavier and better positioned to enter the midgame than aggro blood's cards are.
Sometimes you do just lose because your cards aren't as blatantly OP, but in fair games where draw RNG is fucking everyone, aggro shadow is well prepared for that eventuality

it's great to style on people, since it's a neutral that can pull the otherwise blood-only trick of pulling a 2/5 out of your ass that your opponent hasn't played around, but it's so stupidly chunky. Even if it has an ability that's helpful for aggro. There's a reason it's always been flex and not core.

Only have Aggro Blood, got enough Dust for roughly 3 legendaries. Can melt down collection to make more. In what order should I make the following:

Missing 2 Roaches and 2 Ancient Elf, that's it (bought the starter deck). Looks like it'd be fun when I'm in a mood to crunch numbers but otherwise bleh. Good because it means that I can playtest Tempo builds as well and these cards are always going to be good.
>Aggro Shadow
Missing 1 Reaper, 2 Howl, 3 Ceberus. Can buy the starter deck. Concerned that this deck doesn't play differently enough from Blood to warrant crafting.
>Aggro Sword
Missing 2 Alberts and have 0 Amelias. See Shadow but I love Swordcraft in general and this builds towards owning Control Sword which I eventually want to try.
>Tempo Rune
The most expensive to craft (3 Daria, 3 Levi), concerned that this deck actually doesn't look fun to play at all. Builds towards D-Shift however which I would like to try.
