Tried this, 35dmg to a rear shot on a heavy tank.
Only get 4 shots max though, and they didn't seem to do a lot of splash damage to infantry.

In the Desert maps, yes.All sides used Colonial Troops in WW1. There were also a few hundred blacks fighting in Europe for the French and British in Europe, but that is hundreds out of hundreds of thousands.
There is absolutely no reason to have African soldiers in these numbers for the German side in Europe though

What? The Autoloading 8 .25 Extended, M1907 SL Sweeper, and Cei-Rigotti are all excellent close-medium range weapons.

M1907 SL has a slightly slower TTK than the BAR up to 20m and the Cei-Rigotti has a near identical TTK with the Bar up to 30m.

Autoloading 8 .25 Extended has a much better TTK than the Hellriegel up to 15m.

Seems like they can go toe to toe with some of the best automatic weapons in the game in close quarters just fine.

Yeah I'll do sniper sometimes, and I'm actually pretty good. Snipers in this game for some reason don't think you can snipe from a lower position so they get up all high with no fucking cover and allow themselves to get destroyed. I use some shitty rock in addition to the sniper shield (it's good crouching cover if needed), and can lay waste to them from below.

I need to use spot flares more, but I'm good enough at longer shots that I'm not using them a lot.

It was more so the Model 10 and it insanely long range. It is still pretty far, but it used to be far worse.
The M97 was also nerfed but to a lesser extent. I'm sure the majority of the nerfs were just maximum damage range being lowered.

Why is bad company 2 so good? I had like 400hrs+ on the 360 and I finally decided to rebuy it on pc cause its on sale for 5 bucks on steam.

It just feels so good. All the weapons feel great, the sound design is amazing, everything still looks pretty good for the time, gameplay is just as good, the weapons are fun to use and not boring stale shit like most modern games make them feel.

Like, when you use an RPG near windows all the glass and shit just blows out from the blast back, really dont see that kind of shit in most games anymore or at all. The time to kill isnt instant but isnt horribly long either. I could go on and on.

BF3 never felt this good, and the little bit of 4 I played didnt feel as fun or good either, but better than 3. Havent played BF1 at all, but it doesnt look very fun.

I wish the community was more active, though maybe its better on the weekend. Is the a /vg/ group to play with?

Why do battlefield fans always call BC2 bad? Ive played 3, bc1, 2, bf2, bf2mc (the xbox original port), 1943 (XBLA game), and a smidge of 2142 and 1942.

In my opinion Bad Company 2 is the best one. 1942 and bf2 just feel so slow and boring. Big empty maps where nothing really happens all game, maybe you die getting shot while running avross the map or when sitting in a building, and the vehicles rule all. 1943 was pretty good overall, and bc1 has some strengths over 2, but I like 2 more.

BC2 is the best of all the worlds of the games IMO. Vehicle combat is great, foot combat is great too, a good array of weapons that all feel useful and fun withhout a million useless attachments. Maps are pretty big but arent just masses of empty space, with fun game modes just like conquest or rush.

It seems like any time someone hates on BC2 its basically just because "its not like (other bf game)".

Im not saying those other games are bad, I just dont find them as fun as BC2.

You can take a tank out alone but need to do so in one swoop. Its tricky but pays off.
Head towards the side of the tank, probably the hardest step. Of coarse don't if its filled with gunners but usually they eventually leave or are only on one side.
Place an antitank mine in the middle of the side close to the tank, doesn't need to be under it.
If the tank doesn't notice you, put another down carefree.
If they do, try to run along side the tank in the same direction and place another tank mine as close to it as you can.
Now the trick is to throw a Light Anti Tank Grenade at the tank. 75% of the time it will explode and detonate the 2 tank mines as well, instantly killing the tank, and usually you.

This strategy is more damaging then dynamite but is the best way of taking out a tank solo. Sometimes only using 1 mine which deals about 69% damage is good enough so you can finish it with tank grenades.
