Moneymaking is weird in this game. I keep seeing level 100s with shit stats in full Bandos/Fury/DFS and shit while I have to do like an hour of runecrafting a day just to keep my bank above 3M or so.

What sort of priority should I set for getting slayer gear? I was gunning for sgs first since it's getting a big piece out of the way right away, but that's probably not the best idea.

I was holding off on guthan's because I was trying to get an sgs, and I've heard that dfs is relatively low priority because of the benefits other pieces of gear give. The main things I'm aware that I'm missing are a blowpipe, trident, serp helm, and bandos. I wasn't sure how those should line up in terms of priority. I'm not able to boss yet so I haven't bothered with a blowpipe or trident, and I don't really think I have to money to use the former all that much. But in the end I don't really know what I'm talking about and it's all just guessing on what's more important.

In general try to spend all your money on whatever you can afford. Prices are stable enough that it's worth investing in a temporary upgrade.

Also get a cannon. It's amazing in the earlier levels.

SGS is a luxury item for slayer, unless it's a prayer required task you can afford to just use guthans for trip longevity, it's not worth the rush. Your ideal setup is going to be max strength gear with slayer helm (i) for the vast majority of tasks.

You won't need a trident until you have the level for krakens and blowpipe is only essential if you plan on getting 99 range while on tasks and doing brutal black/blue dragons. Don't bother with getting a serp since the slayer helm is glued to your head. Bandos is a good investment, although if you have a torso you can skip buying bcp and just get tassets.

DFS isn't worth getting because speed killing with the defender is more worthwhile than tanking, and on the few tasks you will need dragon protection (metal drags, wyverns) you can just use a normal anti dragon shield and range with crossbow since dfs gives a ranged attack penalty.

Dragon harpoon makes absolutely no sense. There are no bronze, iron, ...., rune harpoons. So why should there be a dragon harpoon? Also adding a smouldering stone to it makes no sense because putting that it water would counteract the heat of it which is supposed to cook your fish. At least name it something other than dragon harpoon. And smouldering stone is attractive because fishing and cooking go together so it makes senses. But the essence of fishing makes it controversial to add a smouldering stone to a harpoon.

Jagex has said that it's within the rules but you should always be wary when trusting your password to a third party.
It offers a free version and a paid version, naturally all the good shit comes with the paid version.
Recent controversy comes with their latest update which increases the draw distance well over the default (you no longer have a black abyss 20 squares out from you) and you can interact with the stuff on it.
