Bloody soap. Attacking is really hard when it's 5 solo operatives attacking an objective simultaneously. It's frustrating as all hell. The thing that shits me the most is when people just make a bee line to the objective from spawn and end up attacking through a kill zone instead of just walking around and attacking the literal free win approach. Or when 45 seconds into the game the objective is secure but my team is just playing tdm on the other side of the map.

For longer webms decrease bitrate by 1000-500 based on change in picture. as in if you are moving around alot with changing scene = need more bitrate. My tribes webms can only be 6 seconds long because too fast.

He is good at what he does now, you're right. He's actually too good at what he does with the new "non-lethal" radius they added. I don't think they should nerf him back to being shit, but reducing the randomness factor of his pucks and their travel paths to create room for more prediction and counterplay is perfectly fine. Increasing the amount of unique audio cues for his charges also helps accomplish this.

I think 3 brings him in line and makes him "fair" compared to Buck, who has no breaching utility on those doors at all. Ash, who only has two charges, can destroy the door immediately and at range with complete impunity.

Sledge can't really be footfucked through the door since he can take running swings or from the side, but having his entry telegraphed to all defenders with loud ass sledgehammer on metal plate sound... It would balance him out a bit compared to his Canadian friend.

It creates diversity in options, really.

I think 3 is the magic number - neither 2 or 3 are "draining resources" moreso than it is delaying time and creating opportunity for the defenders to respond (ie Tell your roamer they are busting down the front door right now). Cause right now Castle just gets meme'd on by everybody, the best being the Fuze + Glaz trick where Fuze makes a nice murder hole and glaz just memes on people shooting through the barricade. It's the only Operator in the game where when he is "countered" by Operators he actually makes the defending team incredibly weaker...

But these are all nitpicky issues Ubisoft will never fix because, well, it's Ubisoft.

The bigger issues Ubisoft needs to fix are how cancerous casual is, and how cancerous Ranked is. Basically how cancerous people are in general. And you know what? They can take a page out of other games who already had similar systems.

Their idea was actually brilliant. Cancerous assholes get seperated from other cancerous assholes, and can only play with each other. It's just every single way they implemented the system was stupid

Yeah but Overwatch is boring and has no depth to it compared to Rainbow Six. I'm GE in CSGO, Plat 1, played S1 Overwatch ended with Rank 72 which was top 2% at the time.

The only thing I'm going to agree / disagree with here is the amount of effort that is needed to go into Overwatch DLC compared to Siege.

Overwatch needs to spend most of it's time coming up with a character that fits in with the roster and is balanced, and that is fine. It makes sense that it takes longer than Ubisoft to release a character.

But their maps require little to no effort, and they should be able to shit out a new map every 2 months. Siege maps require a fuck ton of play testing because each "objective" is in a sense a mini puzzle that needs to be balanced and properly thought out, and then placed in a thoughtful manner with the rest of the map - which is why some of the base maps are good (people hate Plane but they hate it because even IRL Operators hate planes, not because the map is bad) and people fucking hate Favella because of how poorly planned out it is

But atleast Overwatch added their no respawn 3v3 mode and it's actually incredibly fun to play. Ubisoft couldn't even figure out a fucking "Escort the VIP" mode or anything so to keep their season pass promise they gave us a shitty mode that only turns off the HUD that can be played in private matches

I have mixed feelings on these games, obviously.

But yes, having no Operators OR attachments behind any sort of paywall, and instead using currency to buy cosmetics, and only cosmetics, would be way better for the game competitively and for new-user experience. Will Ubi ever do something like this? Probably not.

See I didn't mind the Renown wall before when I was playing religiously all throughout 2016. There were no new games and no new shooters to eat up my time, so you would earn the 50k renown in the 3 months

Now not only do you have cosmetics eating at your Renown pool, but there are actually good, interesting games also eating my time. So whenever I'm playing, lets say Titanfall, I'm not playing Siege and earning Renown.

Right now I just got enough to unlock Hibana (started with 14k when the JP DLC launched), still need to get Echo, which I won't get before the Spanish DLC drops, adding two more 25k Operators.

From there I think this is going to snowball for people who are even more casual than I am and really condemn the game to death over Year 2. Anyone who doesn't have the Season 2 pass likely won't come back to see the DLC Operators since they can't afford them. And there is something mentally about playing this game, with how important certain characters are, and not having them, which just fucks your day up

You are missing the point that to unlock an Operator requires roughly anywhere from 20-40 hours of playtime and investment per character... Time which you might not want to spend because you are explicitly handicapped by not having a huge portion of the roster.

What the fuck are you talking about. I started halfway through Dust Line, have got all operators, every attachment for every weapon, and tons of camos and a few uniforms and I have 400 hours. I also know that a bunch of that time (maybe 30~ hours) was just idling in the menu.

You're completely ignoring daily and weekly challenges, which combined make up a minimum of 2550 extra renown every week. Almost all of those challenges can be done very easily in one or two casual matches.

I mean, it's still a grind, but it's not 1200 fucking hours.

You are also not counting in the fact there are the daily challenges: Which have a disproportional effect on your "time to earn 25k" if you play less often. If you play only for 2 hours a day you will unlock an operator in less relative play time than someone who plays 6 hours a day.

But ultimately even if we do a fair estimate of 1k~ Renown an hour, assuming matches take 10-15 minutes at 250 for win and half for a loss, effect of weekly and daily challenges, and then add an extra 5 hours on top of that just for margin of error, we are still looking at 30 hours per DLC character. Assuming no cosmetics or hats or whatever.

Point is it takes a long time to earn a character, but only being behind a character or two isn't bad, but anyone a few characters behind with more being added will likely not come back, because there is a difference between having to spend a few weeks getting a cool new character, and spending entire months not having the ability to pick characters you think might be good for the current situation.

MP5K is great angle holder, very steady, rapid rate of fire. He's a great objective player, and should have no problem holding down an angle all game long.

His shotgun is also nothing to fuck with if you choose to go that route, but it takes away his medium/long range capabilities.

His jammers are great, and if he's in OBJ he should have no problem moving them around as needed, provided a lucky Thatcher doesn't get there first.


Side by side to bandit, Mute has more health, slower speed, and his guns get out performed in every category except stability.

His only really remarkable utility is countering drones. Aside from that, he is just a worse Bandit (Ability does not actually destroy gadgets it counters, guns are worse, 2 armor not 1).
And the usefulness of countering drones kinda falls off at higher skill levels, since most attackers there know how to get around it, and most defenders there are smart enough to counter drones manually based on map knowledge and sound anyway.
