Part of it could just be me looking at it through rose-tinted glasses, but it's quite nicely written from a mechanical standpoint, and while the humor is a little dated, it's still funny if you were at all familiar with pop culture and fanfic trends at the time. Characterization is also miles better than you'd normally see in Organization XIII fics because the writers actually remember that they're supposed to be villains, but manage to strike that balance where they're still somewhat believable as protagonists. The start is a little rocky because it started out as pure trollfic, but otherwise it's great.

If you want something a little more serious, the group that wrote it also did a few really nice short fics about Sora's parents. I think that's part of the reason they're noticeably better than most Kingdom Hearts fanfics, is the fact that it was six people double-checking each other's writing instead of one idiot who thought they didn't need a beta.

It's not quite that bad - the writers have a few of their own ideas for how the characters behave, but they're consistent and they're not super-loose with those interpretations. I will say that the ones you'll see the most of are Xaldin, Vexen, and Lexaeus, and occasionally Axel and Larxene; there's a lot of OOC behavior among the others, but it is completely intentional (I won't spoil why, you find out pretty early on).

It's not really related to the Keyblade so much as how Sora's parents process his adventures and what happens to him. The first one is actually about Sora's mom being pregnant, so not much happens there, but it's the meatiest out of the three - that one's more about what life on the Destiny Islands is like, and it's a pretty comfy read.

Disney is an American company with outlets in Different countries. KH is not made only for Japan with only Japan in mind. Also you can't prove that they don't have the English version in mind and try to work on it while working on the Japanese version. If anything maybe you should consider the English version of the game to be more canon because they use the original voice actors for the Disney characters. Disney characters in the Japanese version of the game don't have any of the original Disney VA's and Disney characters first language is English, not Japanese. Therefore what the Disney characters say in Japanese can't be canon because Disney characters originally speak English, so the Japanese script isn't accurate for the Disney characters.

They get the VA's, they pay for the games, they obviously help make the Disney characters since the Disney Interactive (a Disney videogame company) is literally part of the production and it would be easier to make the Disney characters while being supported by people that work directly for Disney.

We can't say for sure exactly how KH is made since no one here actually works on the team and not everyone is always together when making different sections of the game.

Anon, I was saying that Disney Interactive probably helps to make the Disney characters (the models, the animation, etc.) within the game, since Disney Interactive is part of the process and it would be easier with Disney's help to animate those characters.
