After wasting my life in the PTR, Valeera is really good but is not that easy to use.

All her abilities are based on the constant change between the passive and the normal abilities, smoke is fucking good but not broken while the second ult is pretty much meh.

At level 20 after just 45 seconds you can do over 8k damage with a single combo starting with the passive and ending with normal abilties , what needs to be boosted by talents is the fucking E, you can literally crush 1k damage in an instant while you charge it in 2 seconds again doing another 1 k damage.

Now it is broken? not really, zul'jin is broken as hell in the right hands.

All I can do really is to play as best and I can and hope my team aren't a bunch of retards. There was this one game on garden of terror, the victor was ours to take.

After a long hard match that has been mostly in the enemies favour we managed to wipe the entire enemy team and get the terror, all that was between us was one gate to smash to and the core. So of the terror went and I went after it (as Tychus) and my heroic was ready to go, victory would have been ours because we got the core down to 33%

But we didn't win because the rest of the team stayed and defended when one would have been enough, so because of that we lost the game later on.

Old (current) Rexxar was weak, but had a niche. That niche was parking his bear on objectives (dragon shire/braxis) and it being unkillable. Now on PTR they removed all the talents that gave the bear sustain and while the hero was buffed in other places, the end result is that's now he's still weak, but also lost his niche.

Tass rework is more simple - the changes they made simply made Tass weaker. You lost mule, shrink ray was replaced with a similar but objectively worse ability. Khalar's Embrace moved from 7 to a quest reward, meaning most games you'll get it significantly later. Your attack attack damage was shitty before, now it's even worse and you get a slow on top of it to compensate, but it hardly matters.

Archon was buffed and is stronger now, especially at 20, but overall the hero has the same problems as before. He does things a little differently but overall worse now.

It seems like hotslogs removed the view on average match length per map when they changed the site layout a while back, but basically the higher you got in rating, the shorter matches became across the board.

everything about garden of terror is bad. Nightime is pure PvE, you clear your plant camps, you clear your boss, and then ideally you clear your opponents garden as well. nothing but PvE. then during the day time there are 3 additional camps to clear for each side.

ON TOP of this, the terror can disable buildings so you have no option but to chase it down and destroy it, it isn't like the immortal or mine golem where you can send one or two people to deal with it.

So what does the garden pilot do? if they're smart, they just run away while the whole enemy team chases them while their team push es a bit or takes camps.

You are probably at a low enough rating where people don't actually know how to play the map optimally so it's just a 5v5 where one player controls the terror.

Oh and nobody wants to control the terror because it's so stupid. there's usually only 1 or 2 heroes on your team you want piloting it (cant be the healer or anyone who can siege) and they usually don't want to get in it.

Garden of Terror is just downright awful. I get that people have legitimate complains about blackheart's bay, haunted mines, or the punisher map, but there really is no debating garden of terror is the absolute worst.

Old Rexxar wasn't weak. He wasn't a good solo tank, but he wasn't weak. Hell he still has Hungry Bear and Wildfire Bear so I don't see what's weaker about Misha.

The Regen quest was garbage, and was only taken because it was the only thing worth anything in the first tier. I don't see much that even changed with Rexxar besides how you control Misha, which I haven't tried yet.

I never took Blood of the Rhino, I always took Aspect of the Beast so Misha became a stun machine. Certain Maps are really good for Rexxar, but what makes him bad isn't the map. It's the other team. If they have insane dive that can just ignore Misha that's what made Rexxar weak.

Your also ignoring that he was good on Sun Temple because Misha could capture the objective while you laned or on Temple of the Spider Queen because of small choke points perfect for Misha stuns and the fact that you could just send the bear into to disrupt channeling.

I'm not saying that he was amazing or anything, but he wasn't bad.

Most of the warriors in this game can't solo tank. Diablo, ETC, Muardin and Johanna are the only ones. Rexxar is a bruiser

What I hope for: a very original Specialist like Medivh or TLV. But I pretty much know it wont happen. More probably, I simply hope for Specialists and Supports; the lack of variety is killing me.

I guess this year's heroes will include at least two of the following:
- Many shitty Overwatch characters. Among them, at least one Support.
- Kel'Thuzad (Assassin or Specialist)
- a Dreadlord (Tichondrius or Mal'ganis; Warrior or Specialist)
- Malthael (Assassin or Specialist)
- Maiev (yes, I believe it will happen sooner or later, whether I like it or not and I like it, there's a high demand and she was leaked; Assassin)
- Stukov (Assassin or Specialist)
- Mengsk (Specialist)
- Deckhard Cain (Support or Specialist)
- the Overmind (Specialist; we know he's among the numerous character's they're working on, and we know that they originally intended Ragnaros as a replacement for the core; since they intended that for Ragnaros, it is very possible the same thing happens for the Overmind; okay, here I'm dreaming a bit, but it can happen)

Overall, I like most things in this list. I have troubles finding interesting AND plausible Support characters, though. (For example, Anduin could happen but is uninteresting, and Velen is interesting but will probably not happen.)

Oh forgot to mention he gets better as the game goes on. Each talent is a power spike for him. Hunger Bear keeps Misha alive, Aspect of the Beast turns you into a CC machine, Bestial Wrath makes it so it's impossible to ignore Misha, Wildfire Bear gives you better wave clear and really good persistent damage, Primal Intimidation is fucking insane on Rexxar and Hardened shields makes it really fucking hard to kill either Rexxar or Misha.

Rexxar actually has some really fucking good talents.

All three are perfectly fine and well worth it, only exception being Fury Varian (Too easy to counter), and Kharazim (Mileage may vary, he can sometimes require a lot of skill to pull off very well). All three are favorites of mine, so I have no idea. Although I will say Gul'dan is amazing wave clear and great damage. So I guess my vote goes for Gul'dan, more useful in a lot more situations.

Although Prot Varian is my favorite spec of his, and that's pretty damn good in a lot of situations as well.

Antonidas is not "my favourite mage", he's just the one of the most (if not the most) archetypal Arcane mages in Warcraft. Sticking Li-Ming's skillset to Antonidas would be stupid, there's nothing subjective in saying that. Li-Ming's skillset was made for Li-Ming's character, based both on her appearance and gameplay in Diablo 3. None of those have anything to do with what you find in Warcraft 3 or even WoW.

Arcane mages spend mana quickly by spamming, I agree with that. I did represent that in my skillset for Antonidas. Still, Arcane mages don't have the same feeling AT ALL than Diablo 3's sorcerer, or even Diablo 2's sorcerer for that matter. If you played both games, you know I'm right.

Dota before 7.00 (I haven't tried out 7.00) had "meta" ways to play heroes that sub-4k trash pubs expected you to follow to the letter because that's how they saw it played in an e-sports game, and several meme ways to play heroes so you could either be a wardbitch support stacking camps all day or go full aggressive mid or semi-carry. Dota lets you pull a lot of shit if you don't suck at it.

Shit like mid Midas Aghs Refresher Dazzle, carry Omniknight, blink-aghs Rhasta, laser Lion, dagons on everyone, etc. where you build your items off the hero's strengths instead of just relegating yourself to less farm and standard support items. Some of the builds come from old metas where they used to be more relevant/impactful so you might only see them in pubs when people are behind the times or meme'ing, Having an item shop really helps with picking and choosing what you want to do but again, it's reliant on farm so it really depends on how well you can pull it off and whether your team could work with the resources going to you instead of the actual carry because being the best at a hero doesn't mean you'll actually win/carry the game.

I burned out on Dota a few months ago and I miss it a lot, but I can't really gather enough shits to give about returning to go back. So I just hang out here now grinding heroes to 20.
It's interesting to see how Blizzard copies or diverges from the Dota heroes.

seasonal mmr reset should be the norm, everyone starting out in bronze 5 and having to work their way up. If you have a problem with that, then you don't deserve your rank, period, end of discussion. Then you're too afraid, that the actual reality of bad players in diamond is a reality, which it is. Any true GM would have NO PROBLEM with a mmr reset, because a GM is confident in their ability to achieve GM rank multiple times.

It's still a fun game, but it's stupid that game modes like unranked has hidden mmr.

You are again assuming the teams would be close to equal in skill so your GM player doesn't get fucked by having a much worse team. This game is a team game and one good player can't win 1v5. The way the mmr currently works lets the GM players to affect their games enough to climb but they will still lose games on the way because they can just end up having too bad of a team

His damage was nerfed, but more range and lots of slows should make up for that. He can tankbust now, I guess? And Archon has some brutal TF potential with 40% extra range and slows AND infinite uptime.
