Alright, Akali counters the shit out of a sol right? I'm not crazy right? I had an akali who I got a kill early on her, and she proceded to never fight him, and we lost every 2 v 2 as ud akali vs mao a sol, even though mao had 0 gold because I kept killing him and taking his jungle. She kept focusing mao and she kept saying we can't win the 2 v 2 even though we had a lot more gold ahead at one point and obviously could if we just focus a sol. Did they really change akali that much that she no longer can just one shot a sol any time she wants post 6 like she used to? I have 100k on her but I've played like one game of new akali. I flamed the shit out of her and wanted to know if I'm at least somewhat justified in that.

at all times, riot has perfect information on the winrate and playrate of various champs, say, as a 24 hour rolling average. what would happen if the damage dealt (or healing, or shielding, you can decide per champ) by a champ was repeatedly increased/decreased by 1% each day depending on whether they are below/above 50% winrate?

this would probably increase the damage of the pubstomping nothing personnel champs, considering their high popularity and often questionable winrate because of their playerbase.

If you are not a support main, and you are better than your current elo, you will climb. You are the only constant. Sure, out of 10 games you may have 3 games with feeders, but you had a chance to strongly impact those other 7 games, meaning you could have a 70% winrate still. Especially if you are far above your current elo, you will easily be able to make and coordinate plays with the team to win games.

Elo hell, 50% winrates, those only exist when you have hit a wall with your own personal skill and consistency and can no longer influence games enough by yourself and have to depend on your teammates. Time to watch your own videos and learn all of your many mistakes, or get stuck in 'elo hell' and whine about your bad teammates

Take your post for instance. Your first claim is that "EVERY champ in the game has at least one of those". Okay, let's see a list of skills for each champ that has as much outplay potential as Alpha Strike. Your other claim is that "The difference is that most champs need to use the nuances more often, or even have multiple skills that have a large amount of nuance". This means that for most skills on the list that expounds on your first claim, you must demonstrate that they are indeed used more often or are possessed by champs that have more than such skills.

Any time I hear the word 'nuance' in one of my seminars I want to rip into the person who uses it, but the best I can do because I need to be "respectful" is ask if they have specific examples and watch as they squirm like the faggots they are.

Pretty pumped for the KT vs ROX game in 2 hours, will be interesting to see how two teams with completely new rosters function together without having played with each other before. I'm obviously expecting KT to win vs ROX, but I don't think it will be because of Smeb, I think Shy can hold his own against Smeb. I think the main attraction is going to be the bot lane. Deft has amazing games, but also games where he completely shits himself (Jayce ADC with teleport during Worlds 2015), and Sangyoon does the same thing on both sides of the spectrum, but not to the same extent, for better or worse. If KeY gets Bard I think they could stand a chance. He literally brought Bard into the meta before, and he's OK now, don't see a reason why he won't be able to do it again. He's no Mata of course, but I feel he has tricks up his sleeve that KT won't be expecting.

Because I think you're wrong, a single skill doesn't mean a champion is harder than others. Everything else in Yi's kit is toddler tier easy. My best example for this would be that a professional player would likely play a better Master Yi than someone who could mechanically play Master Yi perfectly at a D5-3 level. This lies in the fact Yi is so simple, you need to eek advantages out of better macro play, not in the small advantage you gain from being able to alpha an Amumu bandage at point blank.

Perhaps I misrepresented what I meant, I meant every champion in the game has a skill that has a large amount of nuance to use well. I did NOT mean that every champ has a skill that is as hard as alpha strike is to use at 100% efficiency. I will also concede that pre-rework Warwick and Garen currently don't have a skill that I would describe like that. Garen may, but I know very little about him and haven't really bothered to look at it.
For a couple of examples using extremes on both ends I’ll use Annie, Janna, Ziggs and Riven.

Annie's is incinerate, an ability that is easily missed when at near max range, key for a pre-level 6 flash all-in. At a smaller scale, the ability to stun at an appropriate angle, such as hitting the equivalent of a 7-10 split in bowling.

Janna's is Howling Gale, instant or charged knockups, the importance of knowing the range and travel time. On top of this knowing gank angles against champs such as Zac and being prepared to knock him out of a slingshot that come from likely angles when you do not have vision.

Ziggs' is his Satchel Charge, when using it for repositioning it’s key to know the travel distance, whether or not your opponent can blink onto your side of the satchel. It’s such a broad ability I could go on for hours about small uses, but you get the idea.

Lastly Riven, the champion excels off of animation cancelling. This means that every single one of her abilities compound on each other, using each in a particular way interacts uniquely with another of her skills. This example of a champ’s abilities compounding off of each other can be seen built into the kit at a smaller scope in Ryze too.

Yasuo's shield and wind wall are the only mildly annoying things about him other than the 13 year old autistic weeaboo with an inferiority complex on the other side of the screen, and even then that's only really a valid complaint in the laning phase. He is not that hot a champion.

I think characters like Rengar, Heimerdinger, Darius, Tryndamere are far more questionable than Yasuo, or even Riven and Vayne. Debatably Leona. Poppy and Kayle are definitely -somewhere- on that list as well.

It's a spectrum of trash/cancer but Yasuo is definitely a less pressing issue than some of the shit in this game. His playerbase is primarily the biggest valid complaint that people can give.

Simple mode:
Remove first blood tower gold and give first Dragon 100 Gold to each teammate.

Medium mode:
Make Rift Herald a valid objective that isn't good on like 15 champions. (Alternatively, remove Rift Herald and add a well to it that restores health and mana over time that can be controlled by one team or the other ala Skarner Spires.)

Hard mode:
Make more than 30 champs LCS viable at one time.

S Rank mode:
At least attempt to make more than one lane relevant at a time. This early season was Jungle's time to shine, now it's looking like they're shifting towards top lane with some of the PBE changes to be the next dominant lane.

Next to impossible mode:
Create something that actually shifts the meta for more than 2 patches. (Like lane swaps, cause fuck, at least they added some variety to a game.)
