After finally resurrecting himself after waiting for the 6th time in half an hour, the Freshcuck manages to tag one of the elusive panthers that have been endlessly camped for the past week and a half, and is close to killing it when out of nowhere he is charged and mercilessly cut down in a single stroke by a Bonereavers Edge wielding level 60 Warrior in full pvp armor...

"At least we're on an even playing field....." The Freshcuck grumbles once again, while running across the river back to his corpse with a now 12 minute resurrection timer. The Freshcuck takes solace in the fact that, being a melee class, he actually has something to raid for in molten core, unlike every single other class that has to settle for greens that are better than anything out of the Molten Core from 5 mans for the next 4 months....

For the guy asking about Shaman VS Paladin healing in the previous thread, I wrote this for you:

Paladins are going to focus on healing tanks. Different ranks of Flash of Light, mostly. IIRC it's because the crit to mana cost works out better. But that's good, it's faster to cast and makes it easier to raid heal as needed.

Shaman becomes a raid healer almost exclusively. Chain Heal is a pretty long cast time but scales well. At first, you won't use it a lot. After you gear in MC, it's pretty much all you'll do. It's a smart heal, too. So its effective healing is good if you're smart when you pick your first healing target (often a Warlock).

In 5s, Shaman is very challenging, especially early in an expansion. You will need to design groups heavy with CC to succeed.

Anyway, both are good choices. I like both classes. I think I prefer playing Shaman because raid healing is more my thing but, it's a very personal choice. If you liked what Priest was doing but you want warriors to like you more, play Paladin. If you're like me and MT healing feels stressful, play Shaman. That said, MT Healing as Paladin is pretty breezy, since FoL's cast time is so short.

went from 33-40 there over the course of 2 days and got ganked maybe 10 times total ON ALLIANCE. 33-36 you grind on basilisks/scorpids south of nijel's point, branch out southeast (under sargeron) or southwest depending on if horde is around. 36-40 grind on lizards/birds/basilisks in the ditch south of kormek's hut. None of those mobs are quest mobs. the hut is pretty frequent place for horde to go to, but rarely do they run straight down the ditch and if they do, they aggro a ton of mobs and try to get through it as soon as possible. farm at the northeast corner and you'll see maybe 1-2 hordies every 20 minutes. they're all busy at centaurs or running along the roads for other quests.

The Valkyrie admins noticed unauthorized, seemingly random connections to their admin-only, back-end server and database. Nostalrius had several backdoors in their source code, and in their hardware/hardware configurations. They passed this on to Valkyrie, and someone with Nostalrius credentials was able to access player account information. Many people have recently reported their accounts hacked although they used new username/passwords, and people that were unable to redeem their account tokens are having their characters appear in the game world, under the control of goldspammers and goldfarmers. It's very likely that someone from Nostalrius is trying to undermine Valkyrie by giving player accounts to the chinese.

Nostalrius admins were either threatened with a lawsuit by Blizzard, and were offered amnesty for removing themselves from the private server scene while setting up Valkyrie to be destroyed from within - since Blizz has no legal way to shut down Valkyrie due to them being in Russia - OR it's the act of one rogue Nostalrius admin going for a cashgrab.

Expect an announcement to change your account passwords before or slightly after the servers go back up.

Drakedog was never considered to be particularly "skilled", only somewhat of a pioneer. Dunno who sonydigital is but "sonydigital 1" is from TBC and thus fails the criteria of vanilla WoW.
Vurtne was also somewhat of a pioneer, but showcased a LOT of raw skill/decision making. Grim was considered trash by anyone with an ounce of skill; popping adrenaline rush from a cheap shot every single fight is neither skilled nor entertaining. Gegon was pretty good but played a spec that didn't have room for "skill". Happyminti was always top-tier (NerSap series are my favorite vanilla PvP movies desu senpai). Ming was a pretty good Rogue, but too much of a RP-fagging theorycrafter and his movies are boring crap because of the same reason Niars movies are shit; outgearing everyone by a mile and popping every single cooldown TWICE (he did show 6-8 kiting for the mainstream though, props for that).
