What is with these completely wack weekly challenges?

How does knocking down a cpu in the corner 10 times to have a special stage animation give you the same amount of fight money as actually playing the game and beating other players 10 times?

The first took me 30 seconds to do with a cpu, the second took me over 30 minutes of waiting for matches and about 10-15 minutes of playing against other people, which is infinitely harder, so why am I rewarded with the same amount of fight money? Why the fuck can't the 10 ranked matches be upped to 20k fight money, or at least the nigger stage things be brought down to 500-1000 like all the other shitty challenges you can do on cpus?

WTF is Laura and Zangief doing to make me freeze into place?

I know for a fact I'm Zangief's knee is NOT touching me yet FANG refuses to walk backwards out of range. Also this shit happens with Laura's fireballs. She touches me with once I'm in frametraps for hours. I don't understand. Because Japanese keep to themselves and the only place where they're a problem in regards to invading is Brazil. Sure, Chinese flood everywhere and get in the way, as do Koreans to an extent, but Japanese at least stay in Japan most of the time. As for why worse countries are more accepting of foreigners, they need that money to stay afloat, while Japan is doing fine without foreign money. Look at how little they care about complaints from foreigners about anime and games. Look at how Harada responded to the Lucky Chloe controversy.

It's a little slower and easier to play, but still fun. For one, Roman cancels can be used as the "I fucked up" button now, as they slow down time. Other than that, it's still most of what people like about Guilty Gear. I still like +R more, but Xrd is still fun. Many people are split on the danger time mechanic, though it is rare in real matches anyway. Said mechanic occurs when weapons clash and results in an opportunity to do a high damage Mortal Counter for 10 seconds.

It could be argued as both. It's good for new players but also bad for new players. They can play the game easier, but it also will have trouble adjusting to games with harder inputs since they were only eased in with an easy input game. My first fighting game was Tatsunoko vs Capcom using a Wii remote, so I was pretty shocked when learning how you were supposed to actually play that game. And even regarding other games, when I started going back and playing earlier fighting games with difficult execution, I spent a while having to master the inputs. Granted, I was going to have to learn those anyway, but I think many would become discouraged from even trying new games and just stick with the easy one for life. Justin is actually one of the best American players, far more so than many other FGC "celebrities" like Mike Ross or Gootecks. He at least still places highly in events. Also, relevance depends on the community you're talking about as well. The FGC is largely divided into camps based on what game a person plays, even if those games are made by the same companies. Ask Marvel vs Capcom players and they'll probably tell you that Justin is a god. As Street Fighter players and they'll tell you Justin is just "pretty good." People like Aris are not really seen as important in the SF community, but he is probably the most notable American Tekken player. I think Jiyuna is America's most famous Guilty Gear player, but many SF players only know him as "Daigo's translator". If we're talking about the best of the best, though, notable players right now are Tokido (JPN), Nuckledu (USA), Infiltration (KOR), and Luffy (FRA).

Stupid drama? That's what the American FGC is built around. This guy that goes by LowTierGod had an Ultra Street Fighter IV grudge match with Viscant back in late 2014, but nothing that silly has happened since then, to my knowledge. Justin Wong left his esports team and Kbrad made an angry video about it, but thanks to an esports focus, the FGC is a bit more clean and serious these days.

This video about MvC from 7 years ago is still one of my favorites, though.
